Allen Barr –I have involved with breeding rabbits and
cavies for (50) years. I have been an ARBA member since 1967.
When I renew my membership dues in 2018 I will become a
Lifetime ARBA Member! I have been a registrar since 1971.I
have been a Rabbit judge since 1974. My Judges number is –
352. I have been a Cavy Judge since 1975. I have judged at (17)
ARBA Conventions and numerous National Specialty Shows. At
last year’s convention in Fort Worth I was awarded a “Lifetime
Rabbit and Cavy License” for my help to grow our hobby from a
judging perspective. I have been asked to setup and speak on
various subjects and Convention and District Judges
conferences. I am ARBA examining judge for Rabbits and
Cavies. I have judged in (30) US States and two Provinces of
Canada. I am lifetime member of the American Dutch Rabbit
Club and the National Florida White Rabbit Club. I have served
on the board of the following specialty clubs: Tan, Netherland
Dwarf and Florida White. I have served on the ARBA standards
committee for (9) years. I was very influential in the creation of
the Rhinelander Rabbit and Texel Cavy standards. I am
currently on the ARBA Show Rules Committee and the ARBA
Judges Review Committee. I have raised the following breeds of
cavies: American, American Satin, White Crested, and
Abyssinian. Abby Satin, Peruvian. I imported cavies from
England and Canada.
I have raised almost all of the breeds of rabbits in the standard
book. The only exceptions are: Checkered Giants, Velveteen
Lops, Lion heads, Britannia Petites & Giant Angoras.
Cliff Dick –
My ARBA membership card reminds me that I
have been a valued member of the ARBA family, consecutively
since 1968. I am an active Breeder, Exhibitor and Judge. I
received my Registrars license in 1973 and My Judges licenses
( R & C) in 1984 & 1985.
During my membership I have served on many ARBA
Committees including most recently representing ARBA District
One on the ARBA Board of Directors. I would never in my
wildest dreams had thought that now 45 years later I would still
be here. Well you can imagine by now that Rabbits and the
ARBA has become a passion of mine.
I have had the distinct privilege of Showing & Judging
throughout the United States and Canada. In fact I have been
honored by Judging Rabbits and Cavies throughout the world;
Japan, Indonesia, Uruguay & England. I am still flattered to be
asked to Judge any show. Speaking of Shows, I want to remind
and invite you all to this years ARBA Convention and Show Oct
31 - Nov 2 right here in ARBA District One ----- PORTLAND
OREGON. Plan on attending!!!! I am honored to be given the
opportunity to participate in your Rabbit show among the
distinguished Judges that will be officiating.
I grew up in the Methow Valley - the US side of the
Okanogan. Professionally I am an Anesthetist and work for
the DOD Dept of Veterans Affairs - and cant believe I am looking
at 5 short years to retirement. Where has the time gone???? I
look forward to renewing old friendships and making new
friends on Vancouver Island.... Thank you my friends for the
invitation.
Rosa (Bryant) Fields #911-
Held judges license since 2011
ARBA involvement: member of the election committee
Past State representative for Nebraska
Breeds raised currently: Holland lop, Netherland Dwarf,
Himalayan
Serve on the Holland lop standards committee and as the
current Vice President of the club
I started raising rabbits as a kid in 4-h & FFA. I took a break
when I attended collage earning a degree in Veterinary
technology. Working as a veterinary technician I picked up a
job at the State of Nebraska Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in
Histology. I challenged the national certification test in
Histology and moved into a management position in a human
pathology laboratory.
I picked the hobby back up as an adult and decided to pursue a
judge’s license. I've enjoyed my journey as a judge, and have had
the opportunity to judge at many wonderful shows. I have been
honored to judge at the last 2 ARBA conventions, and at some
great national shows. I recently relocated to Indiana and am
currently self employed as a consultant with Jamberry Nails
which has been incredible and has given me more freedom with
my time off of work and allowed me to spend more time
traveling to judge. Looking forward to meeting everyone at the
show on the island, I visited Vancouver a couple of years ago
and became quite enamored with the city, my only regret about
the trip was not having enough time to make it over to the
island.
