This letter is my personal recommendation for Richard Canetti. I have been Richard's line
manager for the last six months and found him to be consistently pleasant, tackling all
assignments with dedication.
Richard joined us on a fixed term placement from an agency. Unfortunately, I was unable to
make this a permanent position, which is a great shame, as he has been an incredible asset to
the Creative team.
He quickly adapted to the processes and procedures unique to this industry and is comfortable
working in print or online.
Richard can take his own design brief from customers or management of any level and is able to
present creative ideas and communicate the benefits. He has successfully developed several
advertising, events and marketing plans for our company that have resulted in increased
revenue.
I highly recommend Richard and can state, with confidence, that he is a motivated and
responsible person with a high degree of integrity. He is a team player and would be a positive
addition to any organisation.

I am pleased to write this recommendation for Richard Canetti, who has been working as a graphic
design/marketing assistant for Control Zone Products since February 2014 (three month paid internship). We are a manufacturer and specialist in pest control and hygiene solutions, based in Sheﬃeld,
and Richard was hired to assist me, the design and communications manager, with design projects
during a very busy period. Having successfully completed his internship, we have kept Richard on on
a freelance basis to work on a number of smaller projects.
As his supervisor, I have worked directly with Richard on a variety of projects, providing him with
briefs, feedback and signing oﬀ completed work. Richard has strong creative skills with the ability to
undertake a variety of design tasks, and uses Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop with conﬁdence to complete his work. He has a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn that has allowed me
to give him a wide range of briefs. This also included undertaking a number of mundane, essential
tasks without complaining. On a number of occasions Richard used his initiative and made suggestions to improve a design or process. He also has a great ability interpreting diﬃcult briefs, and works
fast to meet deadlines. He has good time management and organisational skills to manage his workload and projects. He always lets me know when he needs more work to do and asks for additional
information when he’s not sure about something.
During his time at Control Zone Products, he has produced graphics for websites and social media
outlets, designed a new newsletter template, product catalogue, spec sheets and other promotional
materials. As well as retouching/cropping images, producing illustrations and accurate line drawings
for customised logos on speciﬁc products. I was particularly impressed with the logo designs he came
up with and has done an excellent job of designing/updating our company branding guidelines.
I have no doubt that Richard will be a great asset to your business and will take on any new

To whom it my concern,
I am writing this reference and recommendation for Richard Canetti who has worked as a freelance
Graphic Designer for my business, Race Scene Cycles, which is a specialist cycle retailer.
I hired Richard to produce national magazine advertisements on a fortnightly basis for both Cycle
Weekly and Cycle Plus and worked with Richard on some of the adverts directly, whilst on others he
worked independently, in each instance producing great work which was comparable if not better
than I’d received from marketing agencies.
Richard also worked on other projects for me including flyers, price lists, and web content
management which involved editing images and managing images on our website and
uploading/removing content.
From my experience Richard has excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software. I was
impressed with his attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile in order to produce exactly what I
was looking for, and was also impressed with his contributions, suggestions, and feedback in
discussions in order to improve the final product. He has excellent time management skills as
shown on a number of occasions when Richard needed to work fast to meet the often varying
deadlines of magazine advertisements.
