Translational Research, NYS College of Human Ecology, Cornell University. Ithaca, NY.
Dear CARE Agency Staff and CARE Trainers,
The Duke Endowment supported CARE implementation/research project has officially ended with
final data collection occurring at the end of 2014. We now are busy analyzing data and writing
papers hoping to share with the field the outcomes of what we have learned. Additionally, we want
to share this information with our CARE agencies and allow them the opportunity to network and
interact with us in discussion around these important findings. We have scheduled 2 regional events
that will take place May 20, 2015 in North Carolina and repeated August 12, 2015 in Connecticut.
These regional seminars will give us the opportunity to share results from the Carolinas’ project as
well as results from a single agency study. We also want to share some of the work our advisory
group did on the CARE Essential Elements with other CARE agencies for additional input and
feedback.
For those of you who are CARE trainers or have CARE trainers due for re-certification this year, this
event is combined with a second day (May 21 in NC and August 13 in CT) specifically designed for
trainers.
We hope that you will be able to participate in one of these events.
Sincerely,
Martha J. Holden
