About Our Cause
The Mariano Rivera Foundation
George Steinbrenner said “…if you do something good
for some person and more than two people know about
it—you and the other person—then you didn’t do it
for the right reason.” Mariano Rivera has followed Mr.
Steinbrenner’s example and founded the Mariano Rivera Foundation. The Mariano
Rivera Foundation, while not anonymous, is meant to be discreet. Specifically, the
Mariano Rivera Foundation currently supports at least two “computer houses” in
underprivileged communities in Mariano’s native Panama, has restored Refugio de
Esperanza (The Refuge of Hope), a Christian church in New Rochelle, New York
and has created a community center in New Rochelle, New York, as well. There are
a number of additional local benevolences the Mariano Rivera Foundation supports
which are neither listed in any publication, nor on the foundation’s website. It is the
mission of the Mariano Rivera Foundation to give, but give discreetly.
IGNITE
Approximately twelve years ago Pastor Mark Vega recognized the need to develop and equip people to become
influential leaders in their local schools, churches and
communities. Ignite is a 501(c)3 organization running many ministries committed
to assisting in the development and enhancement of lives as well as positively affecting our community.

From New York City: East River Drive to Major Deegan Expressway or Henry
Hudson Parkway to Saw Mill Parkway North to Taconic Parkway North. From the Taconic
Parkway take the Briarcliff Manor exit which reads “Pleasantville Road Exit” Do not take
the first exit “Pleasantville 117.” Make left onto Pleasantville Road and follow to the end. At
the traffic light, make a left on South State Road. Then make your first right onto Elm Road
and then another quick right onto Pine Road. Proceed on Pine Road, passing through part
of the Golf Course, down a hill to the entrance on the right side.
From New Jersey: Holland Tunnel/George Washington Bridge. Proceed north on
West Side Drive to Saw Mill Parkway north. Proceed as from New York City.
OR
Garden State Parkway to NY State Thruway to Tappan Zee Bridge. Take the first exit off
the bridge, Route 9 North - Broadway. Make a right onto Route 9 and proceed for approximately 4 miles. At the light, turn right onto Scarborough Road (This turn is past Phelps
Memorial Hospital) Go straight on Scarborough Road (the road bears right at one point )
until it becomes Pine Road. Follow Pine Road across a narrow bridge and up a hill to the
entrance of the Club on the left.
From Connecticut: New England Thruway (I-95) or Merritt Parkway to Cross
Westchester Expressway (Rte. 287) West. Take Exit 3 - Sprain Brook Parkway North to the
Taconic Parkway North. Proceed as from New York City.
From Long Island: Over Whitestone Bridge to Hutchinson River Parkway North.
