For further information: www.crg.eu Mission of the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Scientific Project Manager to join the CRG team dedicated to International and Scientific Affairs (ISA). The position is within the framework of the project “Developing a global understanding of PRC and NURD complexes in stem cell differentiation, in health and disease” (4DCellFate), funded by the European Commission 7th Framework Programme and scientifically coordinated by Prof. Luciano Di Croce. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful management and implementation of 4DCellFate and will work closely with the Coordinator as well as the CRG offices for research grants, technology transfer, financial management, and communication. Additionally, the Project Manager may participate in preparing and managing other coordinated and strategic projects run by ISA. Job duties include: • • • • • • • Managing the project to ensure compliance with EU regulations and deadlines Ensuring that reports, deliverables, and milestones are completed in a timely fashion Organizing project events, meetings, workshops, phone conferences, etc. Acting as an advisor to partners on scientific, administrative, and horizontal issues, including ethical, legal, and social aspects Maintaining the project website Promoting communication and collaborations among the partners as well as with relevant initiatives, consortia, and other European projects Ensuring dissemination of project results to the scientific community and the general public C/ Dr. Aiguader, 88 08003 Barcelona Tel. +34 93 316 01 00 Fax +34 93 316 00 99 www.crg.es Requirements Studies University degree in life sciences or related fields, preferably with a PhD degree Required experience and skills Research experience in an international environment Previous experience in project management Previous involvement in EU grants and/or in organizing scientific meetings, training events, and/or workshops Good knowledge of EU policies Strong IT skills (excel, Power Point, content management systems, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good team player with the ability to work independently Precise, with attention to details, and well-organized Proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude Languages Excellent command of spoken and written English Knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan would be useful The Offer Duration: full-time contract up to 4 years Estimated annual gross salary: A competitive salary will be provided (adjusted according to experience) Starting date: 22 June 2015 The successful candidate will work within a highly stimulating team with a strong track record in managing international and interdisciplinary projects.
