EMPLOYAGER 1.0 COMPETITION RULES Red Bluejay Employager 1.0 Design Challenge 2015 Challenge conditions This challenge abides by the competition rules as mentioned below. By participating in this challenge and/or by submitting the entry form, you are agreeing with these competition rules. Participants are obliged to abide by the competition rules. By not doing so, they will be excluded from participation. If circumstances not covered by the competition rules occur, the Red Bluejay Foundation (hereafter mentioned as Red Bluejay) will decide on them. Modifications to the competition rules are published on the website www.redbluejay.com/employager and are to be accepted, should one wish to continue participation in the challenge. Competition rules Participation This challenge is open to anyone (natural person) who is a citizen of the Netherlands except for team members of Red Bluejay and employees of the municipality of Eindhoven, more specifically the ‘Economics’ and ‘Strategics’ sector. Agreement to competition rules By submitting an entry form the participant agrees to the competition rules. Participants are obliged to abide by these competition rules. By not doing so, they will be excluded from participation. Prize money The prize to be won by participating to this competition consists of an amount of money, that is to be invested in one’s own company and is to be used for further development and marketing of the (winning) entry. Entry The participation entry is submitted through the internet. The entry commences and closes on the dates mentioned on the website www.redbluejay.com/employager. Registrations and entries that are submitted after the deadline, will not be considered by the jury. The point in time when the entry is received is decisive. Red Bluejay will not be held responsible for possible delays in the digital submission of the participant’s entry. After Red Bluejay has received the entry, the participant receives a confirmation email of his/her entry at the email address provided by participant. The entries and registrations need to comply with the conditions mentioned on the entry form. Incomplete entry forms will not be considered and will not be eligible to compete. Maximum of two entries per participant. All entries need to be innovative. The participant guarantees that his/her entry is the result of his/her own work (with or without holding the protected intellectual property rights) or, should a third party be able to make a claim on any intellectual property rights of the entry, the participant guarantees that he/she has the (written) consent of the actual rightful claimant to exploit the entry and participate to this challenge organized by Red Bluejay. Assessment The assessment of the entries is carried out as follows: Preselection: After expiry of the deadline, all entries are assessed on, among other things, conformity to all specified conditions, criteria, and completeness of the entry. This preselection is carried out by Red Bluejay. A sector expert may be consulted. First-round assessment: After the preselection, the first-round assessment takes place through a jury, who award five ideas (at most) with a cash prize. The jury further recommends these five ideas as nominees for the second-round assessment. The jury consists of Red Bluejay members, the Municipality of Eindhoven, partners and sponsors. The composition of the jury shall be announced before the beginning of the second-round assessment on www.redbluejay.com/employager. Second-round assessment: The jury selects the final prize winner from the nominees. The jury’s choice is binding. The public announcement of the prize winner will take place during an official ceremony. Communication The participant agrees, in case he or she is the winner and/or a nominee, to provide his or her support for a possible publicity campaign - or other reporting from Red Bluejay - concerning this competition or possible other following Red Bluejay competitions. The winning and/or nominee participant grants Red Bluejay his/her permission to use short descriptions of the entry, only with the purpose of the publicity campaign mentioned or other reporting concerning this challenge. This permission will not involve any costs, is irrevocable and counts for all expressions in words and/or images, regardless of the used medium by Red Bluejay. Confidentiality Data provided by the participants will only be used by Red Bluejay for the purpose of the realization of the competition. With due regard of the above, the data provided shall be treated as confidential. Intellectual property rights The participant remains the holder of possible intellectual property rights, these will not be transferred to Red Bluejay or the Municipality of Eindhoven. Other stipulations To conclude: Red Bluejay will not enter into correspondence concerning the pre-selection, nominations and the final outcome. Participants should abide by the general accepted Dutch ethics, laws and rules. The prize amounts are subject to (income) taxes. The taxes levied are to be paid by the participant. If circumstances not covered by these competition rules occur, the Red Bluejay’s management will decide. * * *
