About the theatre ...
The RMTC Cabaret Theatre is located in the heart
of downtown Birmingham (301 19th Street North),
on the bottom floor of the historic Kress Building.
The beautiful six-story building with white marble
exterior has been renovated from its original beginnings as a Five and Dime Department Store in
the 1920’s to its current role as home to the Wiggins, Childs, Quinn and Pantazis Law Firm.
The RMTC Cabaret Theatre is handicap/
wheelchair accessible and contains an elevator
for those who might need assistance. Free and
handicap parking is located along 3rd and 4th
Avenues, along with the ParkRite parking deck
on the corner of 4th Avenue North and 19th
Street North. Paid parking is located directly
across the street from the theatre entrance on
19th Street North.
The RMTC Cabaret Theatre seats a total of 260 people.

RATES AND INCLUSIONS
All rates include access to the venue for eight (8) hours (including set-up and
clean up) between the hours of 8 AM –12AM.
Full Venue Rentals:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday
Thursday, Friday or Saturday
Additional hours
Rental rates include the following:
- One House Manager
- One Security Guard
- One Bartender and Full Bar Service
- Use of stage and backstage areas
- Use of lobby and bar area
$1100 per 8 hour day
$2000 per 8 hour day
$150 per additional hour
Lobby Rentals: (up to 100 guests)
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday

Rental rates include the following:
- One House Manager

- One Bartender and Lobby Bar Service

Performance Buyouts:
Exclusive access to an RMTC performance
Rental rates include the following:
- Seats for 260 guests
- One House Manager

- Two Bartenders and Full Bar Service

$5,500 per performance
Bar Services
All bars services have the option of being a cash or open bar. If the client selects
a cash bar, each guest will pay the bartender directly. If the client selects an
open bar, an itemized statement, including 20% gratuity, will be rendered to the
client within 10 business days following the event.

Front of House:
Additional Bartenders - 4 hour minimum @ $20 per hour
Additional Security Guards - 4 hour minimum @ $25 per hour
Coat Check Attendant - 4 hour minimum @ $10 per hour
Piano Player - $50 per hour, plus Piano Fee.
Baby Grand Piano (professionally tuned) – $200
Piano can also be used during a production.
Folding Tables – $5 each
The following sizes available: (4) 6’ long, (2) 6’ round
Refit Fee – $200
This applies if furniture is moved from their standard position, or excessive cleaning is necessary, at the discretion of Management.
Production:
Sound Technician - 4 hour minimum @ $20 per hour
Light Technician - 4 hour minimum @ $20 per hour
(NOTE: Only RMTC staff are allowed to operate RMTC equipment)
Light Package – $75
Includes basic warm/cool washes and up to five (5) light cues.
RMTC Light Technician required.
Sound Package – $75
Includes CD player or iPod connection, up to four (4) Sennheiser wireless
handheld microphones with stands, sound board and full house speakers with
overhead monitors and subwoofers. RMTC Sound Technician required.
Follow Spot – $50
RMTC Light Technician required.
Entertainment Package – $300
Sound and Light Packages and RMTC Sound and Light Technicians for up to 4
hours. Additional hours available for $20 per hour.
Catering Services
All arrangements with the caterer are the responsibility of the client.
Caterers not on listed as a preferred caterer must contact RMTC for approval.
