Meet at the Ground Floor, Lakeside Terrace exit 4.30-4.45pm. Directions to St Botolph’s-without-Aldersgate (EC1A 4EU) from the Barbican There are two routes: The quick route over the walkways (shown above) • Go to floor 2, signposted ‘Library’. • There is a library on the left and a restaurant on the right. Turn right as if to the restaurant and go past it and outside on to the walkway, signposted ‘Museum of London’. • Keep following the signs to the Museum of London, as it is very close to St Botolph’s. • The signs will direct you to turn right over ‘Gilbert Bridge’, then go along ‘The Postern’, before continuing on to ’Alban Highwalk’. • You reach a place with 2 restaurants, one on the right and one on the left. Turn right along ‘Bastion Highwalk’. As you approach the Museum of London you can see St Botolph’s (with a clock on the front) on your left below at street level. It is next to Pret-a Manger. • Follow the walkway round a picture gallery on the outside of the Museum of London and take the steps down to street level. The longer route along the roads: • Leave by the Silk Street exit - turn left on to Beech Street, turn left on to Aldersgate Street and after about 350m the church is on the other side of the roundabout. When you arrive: • The church is opposite a street sign for ‘Aldersgate Street’. You can enter the church from Aldersgate Street or go round the corner to enter from Postman’s Park.
