Welding Welding the frame or the sash is done on a specialized welding machine, which has a mirror-type heating surface and pneumatic pistons to set the profile on the machine table. The necessary welding parameters : - temperature adjusted on the welding surface (mirror) : 240 - 250 º C (it is recommended to measure the machine temperature at the beginning of each welding- the temperature should be 150 º C). - heating time of profiles on the welding plate : 25 - 35 sec - time to maintain profiles under pressure : 30 - 40 sec. - compressed air pressure for the welding machine : - functioning pressure : 0,6 MPa - clamping pressure (at heating): 0,3 MPa - clamping pressure (at welding) : 0,4 MPa In order to set correctly the profile during welding, profile holders are used, on which the profiles stand. Figure shows how the holders were set on the table of the welding machine in the case of the sash. The holders for welding the other sashes are set on the machine table similarly. In the case of welding frames, holders are usually not used, as the frame surfaces ensure themselves a good basis.
