The lower parts of the frame must be planned to have drainage channels 25(30)x5 mm. Openings 8 mm in
diameter could also be drilled. The openings should be asymmetrical. At least two openings should be
planned.
During assembly care should be taken not to damage the drainage channels.
In accordance with the construction drainage could be asymmetrical, downwards or outwards. For drainage outwards drainage caps could be used.
Openings in the glass fillister for pressure equalization. Following te recommendations for glazing using
insulating glass the producer has planned openings for pressure equalization. This applies to all glass
units. The openings must have the following minimum sizes: openings 8 mm in diameter or splines
25(30)x5 mm. The openings must not be covered by padding plates. Shavings must be removed.

The handle seat is processed in the
window sash and in the door sash by milling
and percing, in the case of the milling
machine by copying which, apart from the
milling head, is also equipped with a multiax
piercing head. It makes all 3 necessary holes
to set the handle to the window. The copying
matrix according to which the pantograph
works is delivered by the company which
produces hardware.
In the case of production in series, so around
80-100 confections per shift or more, the
processing of the handle seat is made on
milling and piercing machines with CNC.
The processing schemes are
presented in the tables below.

Chap 5. Welding
Welding the frame or the sash is done on a specialized welding machine, which has a mirror-type heating surface and pneumatic pistons to set the profile on the machine table.
The necessary welding parameters :
- temperature adjusted on the welding surface (mirror) : 240 - 250 º C
(it is recommended to measure the machine temperature at the beginning of each welding- the
temperature should be 150 º C).
- heating time of profiles on the welding plate : 25 - 35 sec
- time to maintain profiles under pressure : 30 - 40 sec.
- compressed air pressure for the welding machine :
- functioning pressure : 0,6 MPa
- clamping pressure (at heating): 0,3 MPa
- clamping pressure (at welding) : 0,4 MPa
In order to set correctly the profile during welding, profile holders are used, on which the profiles stand.
Figure shows how the holders were set on the table of the welding machine in the case of the sash. The
holders for welding the other sashes are set on the machine table similarly. In the case of welding frames,
holders are usually not used, as the frame surfaces ensure themselves a good basis.
