5) Game Rules

i)
All players will be expected to be ready to join the game lobby and start
play within a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes following the start of the
round. Readiness includes, but is not limited to, completed client patching,
configuration of in-game settings, and completed runes and mastery
pages.
ii)
Matches must be played at their scheduled times unless prior
arrangements have been made. Changes to match dates/times may only
be implemented at the discretion of tournament organisers.
iii)
Teams that are not ready within 15 minutes following the agreed upon
start time of a match will automatically lose one of their bans. Late teams
will continue to lose an additional ban for every 5 minutes thereafter, with
a maximum of three bans lost at 25 minutes past the agreed upon start
time. Teams that are more than 30 minutes late forfeit the game.
iv)
In the event that a team is not logged in and ready 30 minutes from the
match start time, a tournament official is able to disqualify that team at
their discretion barring exceptional circumstances.
b) Substitution
i)
Teams may change any players on their starting lineup while in lobby.
Once the picks and bans phase has begun, no additional changes may be
made to the competing teams’ lineups until the game has been completed.
c) Alternate account
i)
Teams can use an alternate account for champion issues. This must be
one of the two substitute players listed in the team signup page.
d) Choice of Side
i)
Choice of side will be given to the higher seeded team.
ii)
For the best of three finals, the choice of side will alternate after each
game with the higher seeded team having first choice.
e) Game of Record
i)
Game of Record (“GOR”) refers to a game where all ten players have
loaded and which has progressed to a point of meaningful interaction
between opposing teams. Once a game has attained GOR status, the
period ends in which incidental restarts may be permitted and a game will
be considered as “official” from that point onward. After the establishment
Remyrhe Gaming
6
2015 Oceanic Collegiate Championship Tournament
of GOR, game restarts will be allowed only under limited conditions (see
S. 5(g)). Examples of conditions which establish GOR:
(1) A player has obtained a creep score greater than zero (0).
(2) A player has died to a player, turret, minion or monster.
(3) Game timer reaches two (2) minutes.
(4) Line-of-sight is established between players on opposing
teams.
(5) Either team lands an attack or ability on minions, jungle creeps,
structures or enemy champions.
(6) Entering, scouting or casting a skillshot ability into the
opponent’s jungle, which includes leaving the river or entering
brush connected to the enemy jungle.
f) Stoppage of Play
i)
Directed Pause. Tournament admins may direct a team to pause a game
should an issue arise that would seriously impact the tournament. This will
not affect either teams’ pause allowance.
ii)
Player Pause. Players may only pause a match immediately following any
of the events described below:
(1) Unintentional disconnection
(2) Hardware or software malfunction
(3) Player illness
(4) Physical or verbal interference with a player
iii)
Pause Allowance. Teams may pause the game for a maximum of fifteen
(15) minutes over the course of a single game. Pausing beyond allowance
time will be considered unfair play and penalties will be applied at the
discretion of an admin.
(1) Players will be allowed additional pause time in the event of an
extraordinary circumstance. Whether a situation qualifies as
extraordinary will be at the discretion of the tournament admins.
iv)
Whenever there is a pause, please notify an admin for the reason behind
it. When the situation has been resolved, the opposing team will then
resume the game when directed to by an admin and play will continue.
g) Game Restart
i)
Restarts Before GOR - a player’s runes or mastery settings have not
applied correctly between the game lobby and match in a way that cannot
be adjusted within the game, then a game may be restarted.
ii)
Restarts After GOR - if a game experiences a critical bug at any point
during the match which significantly alters game stats or gameplay
mechanics, then a game may be restarted.
iii)
In the event of a restart, players are required to keep the same picks,
bans, runes, masteries and summoner spells.

manner.

manner or in a way that would be inconsistent with the Summoner’s Code
will be subject to penalties under section 6(b) of this document.

for a specific game mode, the tournament organisers must drop the team
from the tournament.
j)
Player Equipment Responsibility
i)
All players are responsible for ensuring the performance of their chosen
setup, including computer hardware and peripherals, internet connection,
and power. A problem with player equipment is not an acceptable reason
for lateness or pausing beyond a team’s allowance, regardless of the root
cause of the problem.
k) Restrictions on Gameplay Elements
i)
Restrictions may be added at any time before or during a match if there
are known bugs with any items, champions, skins, runes, masteries,
Summoner spells, or for any other reason as determined at the discretion
of a tournament organiser or admins.

‘Disaster’ clause
i)
In the event that play is interrupted due to exceptional circumstances
where neither team has in any way caused the interruption, the match will

(2) This clause supersedes the Game Restart [5] g) iii)] clause.
m) Placeholders
i)
In the event of a team wishing to select a champion which is not owned by
the current player selecting a champion for whatever reason, the player
can elect a substitute champion as a placeholder. The team must notify
an admin prior to the locking in of that champion. At the conclusion of
picks and bans, the team with a placeholder will quit the game and the
game will be remade as a Blind Pick custom game under supervision from
an admin.

directly affect the final outcome of a match, the spectator will be asked to
leave the venue.
ii)
Should an online spectator’s actions during a tournament (such as
