The RDS Travelling from Abroad

Access Guide
The RDS
From the Airport
The RDS is serviced by the Aircoach that brings you
directly to and from Dublin airport. Aircoach stops are
located on the Merrion Road (opposite the RDS) and on
Simmonscourt Road.
The RDS is Ireland’s premier venue for meetings,
conferences, exhibitions, entertainment and sporting
events. The RDS is located just minutes from Dublin
city centre on a 42 acre site and is surrounded by many
hotels. The RDS also has 2,000 car park spaces on site on
which more information is available inside this leaflet.
The RDS also has parking facilities for bicycles and there
is a taxi rank outside the front of Hall 1.
For more information on timetables visit www.aircoach.ie
or call +353 (0)1 844 7118.
Aircoach Bookings for people with disabilities must
be made in advance. Please call the Customer Services
Manager on +353 (0)87 9786126 to arrange your booking.
From the Ferry
Dublin has two ferry ports - Dublin Port and Dun
Laoghaire. Irish Ferries and Stena Line are the two ferry
lines that operate at these ports. Dublin Port is on the
north of the city approximately ten minutes drive from
the RDS. Dun Laoghaire Port, south of the city, is twenty
minutes drive from the RDS.
From Dun Laoghaire Port by Bus
The no. 7 bus has bus stops at the corner of Merrion Road
and Simmonscourt Road to access the Simmonscourt
Complex and on the Merrion Road for the Main Complex.
The no. 7 bus continues into the City Centre.
From Dun Laoghaire Port by Local Train
The DART service also operates from Dun Laoghaire.
This leaflet was created to help visitors travel to the RDS
whether you are arriving in Dublin Airport or just need to
make your way from another location in Dublin. Details of
car parking, public transport links and airport links are
detailed inside this leaflet and we hope that the information
makes your journey to the RDS as straightforward as possible.
Disabled Access
All venues at the RDS are accessible to people with
disabilities and there are carparking and facilities for people
with disabilites onsite. For further information on disabled
access please look for the
