Applicant submits Notice of Intention to Apply to CIHR Form and the
required External Reviewer Form to [email protected] (306-966-2559).
Sept. 23, 2015
Applicant completes the full proposal draft. Applicant works with his or her
Research Facilitator(s), Vice/Associate Dean Research, and mentorship team to
ensure the logistic flow and completion of proposal draft. Research Facilitator,
Vice/ADR, and mentors assist in ensuring the proposal meets the expectations of
the CIHR format and review panel.

Applicant arranges for an External Reviewer to review science.
Submit draft of Proposal, Budget, and CCV, in proper CIHR format, to External
Reviewer with copy to [email protected]
Oct. 23, 2015
Completed Reviewer Evaluation Form returned to applicant by External Reviewer
with copy to [email protected]
Nov. 2, 2015
Applicant works with Research Facilitators, Vice/Associate Dean Research, and
mentorship team to incorporate reviewer feedback.
Nov. 2, 2015 – Nov. 19,
2015
Submit the Complete Revised Proposal, Budget, and CCV to [email protected]
for the U of S CIHR Internal Review Panel.

Review by the U of S CIHR Internal Review Panel is highly encouraged for all CIHR
applications.

suggestions to strengthen them.
Week of Dec. 7, 2015
U of S CIHR Internal Review Panel assessment returned to the applicant.
Week of Dec. 7, 2015
Applicant meets with the U of S CIHR Internal Review Panel to discuss their review,
if they wish.
Dec. 14-17 , 2015
Applicant works with Research Facilitators to incorporate U of S CIHR Internal
Review Panel comments and suggestions.
