The monthly rent is a per bed rate of $360/month in the two bedroom/two bath units. Please contact us for
information on per room and per apartment rates. A surcharge for heating costs may be added to the
monthly rate to cover any unanticipated increases in fuel costs.
How do I pay my rent?
Rent may be paid with cash, credit / debit card, money order or checks.
By signing the housing application you agree to the following:
Upon arrival you will be required to sign a lease for the rental of your accommodation. We DO NOT
prorate the last months rent. You cannot use your security deposit to pay the last months rent.
The security deposit is $400 per person per bed. Please contact the housing office for information
regarding the security deposit for per room and per apartment rentals. Your security deposit must be
pre-paid in order to reserve a spot in housing. Your reservation will be confirmed via e-mail
(preferred), or postal service once your deposit is received. If you have not received confirmation
within 7 days, please feel free to contact SSRC housing. Upon lease signing SSRC Housing will further
explain the time frame and conditions for refunding security deposits.
If Steamboat Ski & Resort assigns a room to me, I understand and agree that the $400.00 deposit
will be applied as follows:
• Steamboat Ski & Resort will retain $50.00 as a Non Refundable administrative and basic
cleaning fee.
• Steamboat Ski and Resort will hold $350.00 as a security deposit, and may apply it toward any
damage caused to the room beyond normal wear and tear, additional cleaning necessary to restore
the room to an acceptable condition, rent owed, or other amounts owed to the Steamboat Ski &
Resort Corporation pursuant to this agreement.
How can I reserve a place in employee housing?
Our employee accommodations will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Reserving a spot in
employee housing is simple, but you must be sure to follow all of these important steps:
1. Complete and return the Employee Housing Application Form by e-mail (preferred) to
[email protected] or by fax at 970-871-5786 or by mail to SSRC / Attn: Housing at 2305 Mt.
Werner Circle/ Steamboat Springs, CO 80487. Save a copy of your application for your files.

the front and back of the card. Your deposit will be returned to the credit card on file. PLEASE
NOTE: YOU WILL GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK MUCH FASTER IF YOU PAY IT BY CREDIT CARD!!!
CHECK OR MONEY ORDER IN US FUNDS - Must be made payable to SSRC. Attach a completed copy
of this application and mail to the address below. If you pay your deposit with check or money order
you will receive a check from SSRC for your deposit return. This takes 30 to 60 days.
PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL NOT MAIL DEPOSIT RETURN CHECKS OUT OF THE UNITED STATES. IF
YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL EMPLOYEE YOU MUST PAY YOUR DEPOSIT WITH A CREDIT OR
DEBIT CARD UNLESS YOU WILL BE LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES AFTER YOU LEAVE EMPLOYEE
HOUSING.
3.
Once your completed Housing Application Form and your deposit are received, you will be notified
by SSRC Housing by email or mail that a spot in employee housing has been reserved. Please allow
them a week to email you your confirmation.
If we do not receive the housing reservation form and the security deposit we will assume you have found
housing elsewhere in the community.
Is my deposit refundable if I decide not to come to Steamboat Springs?
The security deposit is refundable, but a $50 non-refundable administrative fee will be applied if you elect
not to live in employee housing.
I am not sure when I will arrive in Steamboat. What should I put as an arrival date on the
application?
Please do your best to estimate your arrival date based on your hire date. Obviously, if you are waiting for
a visa to be approved this date will be dependant on visa approval. Please indicate the date you plan to
arrive assuming the visa is approved on time. If your date of arrival ends up changing please contact
SSRC Housing to let them know your new arrival date.
Can I request a roommate?
There are two people per room in each apartment. We will accept roommate requests, but please keep in
mind that these requests cannot always be met. You and your requested roommates must arrive in
Steamboat and check into housing within one week of one another. You can only request roommates who
have already secured a spot in housing with their own security deposit and reservation. We are generally
able to honor roommate requests if the deposits and applications for roommates are submitted at the same
time. All members of your group need to fill out a roommate request form and send it in with their
application form to SSRC.
Can I walk from staff housing to work?
Sure, but the housing is located about a mile and a half (~ 2 km) from the base of the ski area. The
apartments are on the free city bus system that will take you right to the mountain.
I will arrive in Steamboat on the weekend. Can I make special arrangements to check-in?
If you arrive on Saturday, Sunday or after hours, you will have to make other lodging arrangements. If
you will be moving into employee housing, you will want to plan your arrival time to coincide with the
check-in times offered during the week.
Check in times are: Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm.
If after I move in, I decide that I would like to move to a different room?
SSRC Housing will make that decision. We make every effort to place our tenants in a situation where we
think that they will be happy. While we would like you to make every effort to get along with your
roommates, we realize that there are times when, at our discretion, a move may be necessary. Since
moving you to a different room is very time consuming and costly, a transfer fee will be required.
If I’m an international worker, should I wait for my visa to be approved before I send in the housing
application form and deposit?
No. If you are offered a position and would like to reserve employee housing, please send in the
application form and deposit immediately. If your visa is not approved we will refund your deposit in full.
What happens to my deposit if I leave prior to my roommates? You are responsible for contacting the
housing office to do your check out paperwork prior to your departure. This way you will not be held
responsible for any damages incurred after your departure date. Cleaning and carpet cleaning charges will
be taken out of your security deposit.
What are the quiet hours in employee housing?
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
Checking into Employee Housing:
If you will be moving into employee housing, you will want to plan your travel to arrive in Steamboat
during our housing office check in hours.
SSRC HOUSING CHECK-IN TIMES: PLEASE PREPARE FOR 1 TO 2 HOURS TO COMPLETE
THE CHECK-IN PROCESS!
Monday through Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm MST.
