General Conditions
1.
The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a
candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview.
RGNIYD reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a
reasonable number on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum
prescribed, or by any other condition that it may deem fit. The Institute encourages
candidates possessing higher qualifications and experience to apply.
2.
The statutory provision for relaxing age, experience etc. prescribed in case of the
candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH categories will be applicable to them as per
UGC/GOI norms in force at time of interview. Candidates are advised to check UGC and
other relevant websites for updated information.
3.
RGNIYD follows the Government of India Rules and Regulations for non-teaching staff.
4.
RGNIYD will have the right to relax any of the qualifications, experience, age, etc., in
exceptionally deserving cases of all posts on the recommendations of the screening
committee and selection committee.
5.
Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ previous record and their performance
in the interview.
6.
No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct
and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.
All
updates/information on this subject will be uploaded on the RGNIYD website as and when
required.
7.
SC/ST/PWD candidates will be reimbursed second class railway / bus fare by shortest
route on production of tickets.
8.
The candidates already in employment should apply through proper channel, failing which
the application is liable to be rejected.
9.
Experience and qualification will be reckoned as on last date on submission of application.
Clear quality Xerox copies of all important certificates must be enclosed along with the
application.
10. Applications incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.
11. The panel of selected / waitlisted candidates will be valid for one year from the date of
approval of the competent authority and Institute shall make appointments on
consequential /new vacancies. Once the selected candidate reports for duty, the selected
waitlist stands cancelled.
12. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such candidate.
13. Separate application should be submitted for each post with prescribed fee.
14. Applications received after the last date and without complete information or without
requisite fee will be summarily rejected. RGNIYD will not be responsible for any postal
delay.
15. RGNIYD reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if the
circumstance so warrant.
16. In case of any disputes / suites or legal proceedings against the Institute, the jurisdiction
shall be restricted to the Courts in Chennai, which is the Headquarters of the Institute.
17. RGNIYD reserves the right to:
a. Offer a post at a level lower than that applied for, depending upon the
qualifications, experience and performance of the candidate.
b. Draw up reserve panel/waiting list(s), which will be valid for one year from the
date of approval of the competent authority and may be used for appointments
on consequential / new vacancies.
c. Not to fill any of the advertised posts, without assigning any reasons.
d. Reduce or increase the number of posts mentioned in the advertisement.
e. Decide criteria / procedure for short listing of the candidates
18. In case of any dispute / ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision
of the RGNIYD shall be final.
19. Candidates should send self-attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets from Xth
board onwards in support of their qualifications. Originals certificates should not be sent
along with the application but these must be produced at the time of interview.
20. RGNIYD shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time,
at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case it is detected that
the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine
antecedents / background and has suppressed the said information, his services shall be
terminated, without notice.
