21st Century Piano Camp for the Younger Pianist (Ages 4-6)
Start Dates & Times: Monday June 8 through Friday June 12 • 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
In this five-day piano camp, young students will explore music through engaging and
lively activities, and begin making music at the piano. Students will develop a familiarity with black and white keys at the piano, musical rhythm and notes, and will leave
with the ability to sing and play many new songs. The camp will conclude with a recital
performance by camp participants for an audience of family and friends. Classes will be
enhanced using the latest music technology and Roland digital pianos.
(Enrollment: 6 – 12 students)

21st Century Piano Camp for the Beginning Pianist (Ages 7 -11)
Start Dates and Times: Monday June 15 thru Friday June 19 • 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
In this five-day piano camp, students will be introduced to basic musical concepts such
as note reading and rhythm, and develop skills for musical expression at the piano.
Creativity, comprehension, and enjoyment will be encouraged through a variety of
group activities and individual practice. Students will develop the ability to play many
new pieces at the piano and the camp will conclude with a recital performance by camp
participants for an audience of family and friends. Classes will be enhanced using the
latest music technology with Roland digital pianos. (Enrollment: 6 – 12 students)

Tuition Fee: $349.00 including materials and Registration fees
21st Century Summer Intensive for the Developing Pianist
Start Dates and Times: Monday June 22 through Friday June 26 • 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Prerequisites: One year or more of piano experience, ages 8 and older. Participants
should arrive at camp with two prepared solo piano pieces (standard piano literature
and method book pieces are acceptable). In this five-day piano camp, students with at
least one year of piano lesson experience will develop piano performance and music
comprehension skills in an intensive week of activities. The daily schedule will include
practice of prepared and new repertoire, duet and ensemble repertoire, piano technique, music theory, music history, and improvisation/composition. The camp will
conclude with a recital performance by camp participants for an audience of family and
friends. Classes will be enhanced using the latest music technology with Roland digital
pianos. (Enrollment: 6 – 12 students)

Teacher Bio:
Dr. Anna Hamilton is an award winning piano educator and teacher with degrees in
piano performance and piano pedagogy. She has extensive teaching and performance
background. Over the last decade as a teacher she has worked with all ages and levels
of piano students from beginning preschoolers to high school students. She has also
worked with adult college students and recreational adult piano hobbyists. In her
teaching she aims to guide the development of solid fundamental musical skills for expression at the piano and to encourage and inspire unique creativity in each student.

Camp dates, times and sessions are fixed. There are no alterations or changes. There are no refunds of tuition fees or materials. The entire payment for the camp must be made at the time of Registration. No make up sessions will be offered for missed
lessons and sessions. Students in day camps must bring their own lunch and snacks. Water bottles will be provided by Rice
Music House. There will be time for lunch breaks and other breaks. All books and materials will be included in the fees.
