Greater Short Pump Ruritan Golf Tournament for the Fisher

The Short Pump Ruritan Club is hosting the Greater Short Pump Benefit Golf Tournament with a shotgun start
12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at the Hollows Golf Club in Hanover County (14501 Greenwood Church Rd.
Montpelier,Va.23192) www.thehollows.com to benefit the Fisher House at McGuire VA Medical Center.
The Fisher House mission is to provide "home away from home" lodging, support and respite for families of patients
receiving medical care at a major military or VA medical center. Fisher House is constructed with funds raised by the
local community, then matched by the donation from Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher. The Fisher House at McGuire
VA has 21 bedroom suites each spacious enough to sleep 3-4 people available for residential use on a temporary basis.
There is also a large common area for recreation, a communal kitchen, dining room and laundry. Families with the
greatest need of support by the Fisher House at McGuire VA would be from the spinal cord injury programs, traumatic
brain injury and transplant programs.
To support The Fisher House at McGuire VA, you can participate in the golf tournament for $65 per player and/or
sponsor a golf hole with a $100.00 contribution. Signs recognizing sponsors will be posted at each tee. Please complete
the information below indicating your selection and mail it, together with a check for amount(s) selected, to The Short
