As the short course wraps up its
time to give a shout out to
Jordan Reed for his hard work.
He finished up high school
swimming at Northern by
winning 3A States in the 100
butterfly placing 3rd in 100 backstroke and his Medley Relay,
which he swam fly, placed 2nd. In doing that he qualified to
travel to the National Championship which was held in Orlando,
Florida with Swim GSA his year round team. Over 900 swimmers
where at NCSA’s from all over the States. Now he is looking
forward to starting long course with Swim GSA as well as Ridgewood’s swim team.
After a strong showing in the 3A State Championships for High
School, Rebecca qualified for the NC 14 and under Age Group
Championships for her year round swim club Swim GSA! She then
qualified for the 14 and under Sectional Championships. There
she swam against girls from Southern Zone States including NC,
SC, GA, KY, West VA, VA, LA and FLA.
2015
Rori Rountree swam in the
NC Age Group Championships, representing her year
round swim team, Swim GSA.
Although only 8 years old,
she competed in the 10 and
under age group and
qualified to move onto the
southeastern Sectional
Championship meet in
Atlanta in her 50 breaststroke. In Atlanta, she
competed against the fastest
age 10 and under swimmers
from 8 states, finishing in
12th place with a blistering
time of 37.44 and a AAA
time cut for her effort.
An even bigger accomplishment, this swim was the fastest 50
breaststroke in the COUNTRY by an 8 year old! We are looking
for even bigger things to come from her. Way to go, Rori!

Ridgewood Tennis
Hello everyone - Spring tennis is here re we are so excited to start playing on our beautiful home courts! Southern Exposure has
been working long days trying to have construction completed before Gate City starts. Unfortunately, the weather set them
back slightly. Please keep your fingers crossed that the rain and cold weather gives us a break!
We have been planning away for the busiest tennis season of the year and boy do we have a lot of tennis going on! We hope
that you will support your home club by participating in the many Socials, Events and Clinics that we are planning.
All of our tennis socials are communicated through the EVITE system. Please make sure to RSVP if you are coming so that we can
plan accordingly. If there is not enough attendance we will have to cancel the Event or Clinic. Thank you for understanding.
