What Sets RMA Apart from the Competition?
Pre-Kindergarten Program:

PK students receive a language arts education
RMA uses the Alpha Time Letter People to teach PK students upper and lower
case letters, how to make its sound(s), and how to recognize it in a word. The
weekly letter is supported by a “character,” a story book, and a musical jingle.

PK students receive a math education

PK students enjoy learning with technology in the classroom
RMA uses a math curriculum designed for PK students by one of the nation’s
best math publishers, Scott-Foresman. Using manipulatives, these young
minds are introduced to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
We teach on the EDGE (Engaging the Digital Generation in Education)! The
PK teachers utilize interactive data projectors (which is the source of the visual
above) as teaching tools. In addition, each classroom is equipped with four
computer workstations and four iPads that students “play” on during center
time.

PK students take advantage of resources of the school for
expanded education
Since RMA goes through the 12th grade, there are resources available to the
PK program that “stand alone” PK programs do not have. Each week, PK
students attend classes in PE, music and French and participate in special
annual programs, such as Homecoming Week, field day, concerts, and book
fairs.

Kindergarten Program:







PK students participate in all-school activities.
PK students and families are part of the RMA community. You are encouraged
to attend athletic events, fall festival, plays and musicals, whatever!
