EASTENDERS GOES WEAK AT DENISE!
The new shake up at BBC
Radio 1 is good news for
DJ CLARA AMFO whose
career goes from strength
to strength. She will be
taking over the mid-morning
show from departing DJ
Fearne Cotton from Monday
to Friday on 25th May.
Considered to be one of
the biggest slots in daytime
radio, the show is also the
home of the Live Lounge,
which hosts performances
from some of the world’s
top musical artists.
Our new signing, designer
KELLY HOPPEN MBE,
realised she had the royal
seal of approval when she
met the Duke of Cambridge
at the Great Festival of
Creativity in Shanghai
last month where she
was official Ambassador.
Prince William confessed
slightly sheepishly that his
wife Katherine, Duchess
of Cambridge, would have
loved to have met the queen
of design Kelly too. Chatting
later the same evening to
former X Factor singer,
REBECCA FERGUSON
William said he was a fan
who had downloaded one
of her songs. Prof. Jonathan
Shalit OBE also attended.
EastEnders had an injection
of glamour with the arrival
of DENISE VAN OUTEN as
blonde bombshell, Karin Smart,
a business associate of Phil
Mitchell’s. Denise has filmed
several episodes of the BBC1
show playing Karin, and she also
has the lead role in Sweet Charity
in Concert at London’s Cadogan
Hall this summer. Denise will
be performing favourites from
the hit musical with the Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra from 19th
– 22nd August 2015.

NEW Signings
MEL B continues to bring
her huge personality to the
judging panel of America’s
Got Talent. Since the variety
show kicked off its 10th
season on NBC, it has been
taking the US by storm and
Mel remains an integral part
of the show’s success, with
her scene-stealing fashion
choices and straight talking
anecdotes making headlines
each week. She also took
to the mic performing a
hilarious parody rap about
the chaos at breakfast time,
to help promote Weetabix’s
partnership with Comic
Relief, for Red Nose Day
last month. The two-minute
video, the Morning Mayhem
rap, was recorded at the
Strongroom Studios in
Shoreditch – the very same
studio where Spice Girls’
1996 iconic hit Wannabe
was recorded.
Internationally successful mezzo-soprano singer, KATHERINE JENKINS, has
just joined ROAR Global. Last year Katherine celebrated a decade in the music
industry, in which she has sold over eight million records worldwide. The twotimes Brit winner has just finished a sell out UK tour of her tenth album “Home
Sweet Home” and will be performing for the VE Day celebrations and coheadlining a summer show with Jose Carreras. The agency has also signed up
MTV favourite and Model, LILAH PARSONS, and design guru, KELLY HOPPEN MBE.

top rated pilot, first series and
Christmas special of Still Open
All Hours, JAMES BAXTER

also being re-commissioned
for next year, after proving a
ratings smash.

recreating her role in the hit ITV sitcom Benidorm after
the series was re-commissioned for an eighth series. She
has played the hotel’s manageress Joyce Temple-Savage

dramatises the final 90 minutes
before the polls close on this
year’s election night. On that
exact date, May 7th, at that
precise time, the play will be
broadcast live from the Donmar
stage on More4.
