Your words of encouragement and support can only inspire our students to achieve their very best! For the month of March, kindergarten students have been learning about the story of The Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf! We have created straw, wood and brick houses, the big bad wolf and the three little pigs out of different craft materials! We have also been writing about the pigs and different vocabulary and phrases from the story. We have played exciting board games where the wolf huffs and puffs and blows you right off of your square! We have seen three different video versions of the three little pigs and have had a blast role playing and acting out the story during carpet time. École Robert Browning will be hosting a tea in May to say “merci” to all our school volunteers who have helped us throughout this school year. Invitations will be sent home soon with students. Please reply as soon as possible. We have checked our records carefully but oversights can occur. Please do not hesitate to contact our office at 837-8381 if you helped out this year and did not receive your invitation. More information will follow shortly. Family Math Night In May 2015, École Robert Browning will be holding an exciting event: FAMILY MATH NIGHT. Students, parents, siblings, and other relatives are invited to attend a fun-filled evening of mathematical pleasure. The intent of Family Math Night is to participate in math standards in action as we strengthen the mathematical application, problem solving, and communication skills of students through the power of family interaction. We encourage you to continue to support your child’s mathematical growth through your participation in Family Math Night. More information will follow shortly. Staff Appreciation Week! The staff at École Robert Browning would like to thank all parents who made our week so enjoyable. École Robert Browning is very fortunate to have such wonderful parents. A special thank you to our Parent Council for the wonderful gifts they provided to all staff. Merci! To all Grade 5 students going to Golden Gate: Do you have a child who will be entering Grade 6 at École Golden Gate Middle School and taking band next year? We would like to make you aware of two important dates. To make sure everyone gets an instrument that they are best suited for, Golden Gate will be hosting two “Choose Your Instrument” nights on Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23 from 4:30-6:30PM. Parents are asked to call Golden Gate at 204-837-5808 to make a 15 minute appointment for ONE of these evenings. During the appointment, students will have the chance to try all of the instruments available to them next year and choose the instrument they wish to play. It is very important that students attend this evening as there will be instrument specialists on hand to assist students in making their choice. If you have any questions, please contact one of the band teachers - Mr. Popiel ([email protected]) or Mme Martin ([email protected]). You can also reach us by phone at the number listed above.
