WELD COUNTY PRACTICAL SHOOTERS
Welcome Shooters!
Thank you for your entry into the seventh annual Rocky Mountain 300. This is a USPSA “style”
action pistol match. This is not a USPSA sanctioned match.
The Rocky Mountain 300 will be held according to the USPSA rulebook (current addition). The
match will be held on a cold range. Guns may only be handled in designated safety areas or under
the supervision of a range officer. Ammunition may not be handled in the safety areas.
No alcohol or drugs will be allowed on the range.
No parking in the berms. Please do not drive from berm to berm during the match.
Dress code USPSA rules apply. The match director will have final authority on appropriate attire.
There will be no jumping of squads without match director’s approval.
Shooters who are DQ’ed from the Rocky Mountain 300 will not receive a refund.
Lunch will be available on the day you shoot the match, and are included in the match fee. The
lunch provided will be sandwiches, chips, a cookie, soda and water.

WELD COUNTY PRACTICAL SHOOTERS
MATCH CONDUCT
Weld County is a cold range.
Bagging or un-bagging of a hand gun is only permitted in a designated safety area or under the
supervision of a range officer.
Ammunition may not be handled in a designated safety area under any circumstances.
Except in a designated safety area, all handguns must remain holstered at all times until the
competitor is authorized by a range officer to load and make ready.
Under no circumstances should a shooter break the “180.” Breaking the “180” will result in match
disqualification.
A shooter’s finger should be outside the trigger guard when in motion.
All persons on the range, including spectators, must wear ear and eye protection.
Except where noted, all walls extend from the ground to the sky and are hardcover. Deliberately
shooting through or under a wall is considered unsportsmanlike behavior and is subject to match
disqualification.
Because of time considerations, the R/Os ask that each squad member assist in pasting targets,
setting steel and brassing after each competitor’s course of fire has been scored.
This will not be a lost brass match unless time becomes a problem in clearing stages.
A minimum 306 rounds will be required for 5 stages. The Shoot-off will require additional rounds.
NOTICE
Stage drawings may be altered from published courses due to safety, administration or procedural
considerations. Additional no-shoots, hard cover or other changes may be made to a stage. The
shooter is responsible for understanding all stage procedures.

Cash payback for winners will be based on the percentage of shooters in each of the following
divisions: open, limited, limited 10, production, single stack and revolver.

There will be a drawing for one gun per division, provided there are at least 10 competitors in each
division. In the event there are fewer than 10 competitors in any division, that division will be
combined with another to allow for a more even drawing.
A random prize drawing will be held during the award ceremony. You do not need to be present to
win as long as you have someone to pick up for you. I will not track you down to get prizes to you
or mail thing out from the prize table. I will mail plaques and cash to competitors if needed.

SHOOT-OFF
The Shoot-off is a single elimination, best two out of three strings. The entry fee for the Shoot-off
is $10.00, with a total cash payback to the top three shooters. The Shoot-off starts at 8:00 a.m. on
Sunday, May 22. The number of targets is set by handicap using USPSA classification. Four
shooters will compete in a semi-final round, with two shooters advancing to the final round. The
two shooters eliminated in the semi-finals will compete for third place. The third place shoot-off
and the final round to declare a winner will be best two out of three. If both shooters are eliminated
in any individual bout during the final round, it will count as a lost bout for both.
