He has participated in GCP’s workshops including the AllKids Performance Workshop and the Theatre Skills Workshop. Jonathan has also participated in several productions at church. This is his mainstage debut with GCP. COLTON ALLEN (Dodger) is a current member of Good Company Players’ Junior Company. He worked on backstage crew for Crazy for You. He has performed in various school productions including The Music Man and Seussical. With CMT, Colton performed in Aladdin Jr. (Genie), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Wonka), and Mulan (Emperor). LAURA BEERY (Mrs. Bedwin, Ensemble) performed in GCP’s Dad’s Christmas Miracle (Miss McLaughlin) and To Kill a Mockingbird (Stephanie Crawford) at GCP’s 2nd Space Theatre. (Jud). ROGER CHRISTENSEN (Brownlow) was a member of GCP’s 1973 Company. Roger performed with Good Company Players in 10 shows prior to the opening of Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater including How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (J.B. Bigley) and Bye Bye Birdie (Harry Macafee). Roger’s first GCP performance on the stage of Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater was the recent A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Senex). JASON DANNER (Ensemble) performed with GCP in several productions including South Pacific (Sailor), Grease (Doody), Cats (Macavity), Anything Goes, Beauty and the Beast, and The Music Man. He studied dance extensively at Kaye’s School of Dance. Jason recently performed in Nutcracker: Men in Tights (Ballet Pointe) with the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus. JUAN DANNER (Fagin), originally from York, PA, has a B.F.A. in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Juan performed with The Lee Strasberg Institute in their productions of Nine and Jesus Christ Superstar. He also performed with York City Schools in High School Musical (Ryan Evans). Juan made his Good Company Players debut in South Pacific (Professor). KIAYA HARGIS (Fagin’s Kid) performed with GCP in West Side Story, The King and I, and A Christmas Carol. Kiaya attends Fresno Christian High School where she performed in Meet Me in St. Louis and Cheaper by the Dozen. Kiaya participated in the GCP’s All-Kids Workshop Productions of The Pirates of Penzance and Fiddler on the Roof. PETER HARTLEY (Fagin’s Kid) is a former member of The Junior Company. He has performed with GCP in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Leroy), The King and I (Louis), and A Christmas Carol. Peter was in GCP’s All-Kids Workshop Performances of The Pirates of Penzance (Major-General Stanley) and Fiddler on the Roof (Fyedka). CAROLINE HUEY (Fagin’s Kid) made her mainstage debut for Good Company Players in The King & I. She is a current member of GCP’s Junior Company. Caroline performed with Reedley’s River City Theatre in Annie (Molly) as well as the Bach Children’s Choir. BECKY MATTOX (Old Sally, Street Seller) has performed with GCP in countless productions, beginning with the 1978 production of Gypsy which was the first production at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater. Her other performance credits include Grease (Rizzo), Annie (Star to Be), Paint Your Wagon (Sarah), and Ain’t Misbehavin’. LARRY MATTOX (Street Seller, Ensemble) has been in many GCP shows over the years including Young Frankenstein, Paint Your Wagon (Salem), Fiddler on the Roof (Lazar and Avram), Bye Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music, To Kill A Mockingbird (Nathan), and When We Are Married (Parker). CORRINNE NERDAHL (Fagin’s Kid) performed with Children’s Musical Theatreworks in The Little Mermaid Jr. and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. She has also performed in Clovis East High School’s productions of Broadway Revue and Once On This Island. This is Corrinne’s GCP debut. ABIGAIL NOLTE (Nancy) performed with Good Company Players in Crazy for You, West Side Story, and in the 2001 production of Sugar Babies. She was a dancer in My Fair Lady with PLNY Theatre, and Maureen in Rent with Cali Pub Theater. Abigail minored in theater at Point Loma Nazarene University. STERLING PARKER (Noah, Fagin’s Kid) made his mainstage debut as Young Don in Singin’ in the Rain. Sterling has since performed in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Claude Herdman), Shrek the Musical (Young Shrek/Baby Bear), and Fiddler on the Roof. He is a former member of GCP’s Junior Company and participated in many productions with CMT. JANA PRICE (Ensemble) performed with GCP in Crazy for You (Patricia) and South Pacific (Nurse). Jana participated in several productions at her alma mater, University High School, including The Music Man (Marion), Into the Woods (Rapunzel), and Dark Deeds at Swan’s Place (Tai Pan). BRYN RILEY (Mrs. Sowerberry, Street Seller) is a student at Fresno Pacific University. At Fresno City College, she has performed in the FCC Opera Workshop productions of Patience (Saphir), The Pirates of Penzance (Ruth), and Hansel and Gretel (Hansel). Bryn made her Good Company Players debut in The Addams Family. She also ran the video projections for Shrek the Musical. Elizabeth performed in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and Young Frankenstein. ERIN RANA (Projections Operator) made her GCP debut by working on Crazy For You and ran the follow spot for South Pacific. She attends F. I. Design & Merchandising school in San Francisco. Erin has interest in costume design and is expanding her theatrical knowledge by working with Good Company Players. DAVID SARKISIAN (Vocal Coach) works extensively with Sierra Chamber Opera. As a performer, he has worked with California Lyric Opera and Theater 3, among other groups. At GCP, David performed most recently in Educating Rita and vocal coached Fiddler on the Roof, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Legally Blonde, The Producers, and Bye Bye Birdie. MARTIN MARTINEZ (Assistant Stage Manager/Follow Spot) has been in such Good Company Players productions as South Pacific, Calamity Jane, Fiddler on the Roof, Stalag 17, and Cyrano de Bergerac. He worked behind the scenes as assistant stage manager for I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and operated follow spot during several GCP shows. GINGER KAY LEWIS-REED (Costumes), GCP’s costumer, started designing for the company in 1983. Her credits include The Comedy of Errors, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Importance of Being Earnest, and The Man Who Came to Dinner at GCP’s 2nd Space, as well as GCP’s productions of The Pirates of Penzance, Shrek the Musical, Curtains, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Hairspray, and Beauty and the Beast at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater. GABBY CASTRO (Follow Spot) is currently a freshman at Roosevelt High School. We caught up with her via email and asked her to share some of her history on both sides of the bar. Where you were born/where you were raised? I was born and raised in Fresno. Graduated from Clovis West High and Fresno State. How did you become involved At work behind with the Junior Company? the bar. I attended a show at Roger Rocka’s in 1979 and saw the Pre-show and thought I should give it a try. I auditioned a few times before I was accepted. In fact, I was cast in a mainstage show first. Oklahoma! in 1980. I was 14 years old. I would again do Oklahoma! in 1988, my 20th show. Favorite showtune(s) of all time: I grew up listening to all the timeless, clas- sic musicals. So all the Rogers and Hammerstein music is burned into my memory. I know it all and I love it all. Favorite musicals: Some of my favorite shows that have been performed at the Music Hall have been The Drowsy Chaperone, The Producers, and Hairspray. Favorite or most memorable onstage role: Favorite role was In Funny Girl, 1984, with Bill Cowling Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. It helped that we had an amazingly talented cast. Most challenging role you have ever played: Without a doubt, Eva Peron [Evita, 1987]. I felt like I’d run a marathon every night at curtain call. Vocally challenging and emotionally draining. Craziest audition or performance story: When I auditioned for Will Roger’s Follies in 2007 I hadn’t done a show in 18 years. I was VERY nervous. So the night before, after all the patrons had left and the staff was cleaning up the restaurant, I turned the stage lights on and got up on stage and belted out my song a few times to get comfortable with the space. These are the perks of working on In Kismet, 1986 “both sides” of the business. How did you develop your bartending skills? I have been working in restaurants since I was 16 years old. Most everything I’ve learned is from paying attention, asking questions and jumping in feet first. Do your kids have any performing (or bartending) ambitions? Unfortunately, the vocal legacy dies with me. My children inherited their father’s complete lack of musical ability. They have their own strengths, but they won’t be played out on the stage. How do you come up with new drinks for each show? I pick up ideas everywhere, or sometimes they just pop into my head and I’ll write them down to try out when I get into the bar. One time I saw a flaA Chorus Line, vor of tea in the store and 1986 thought, “Ooh, that might make a good martini”. I’ve tried making milkshakes out of breakfast cereal. That didn’t go so well. There is a fair amount of trial and error that goes along with it and even though I’m not a real big drinker, I have to try them all. Anything else you’d like to say? Working at Roger Rocka’s is truly a joy and a privilege. There is a reason the same people, including myself have been here for literally, decades. The atmosphere, the professionalism and just the absolute fun of an amazing staff and truly generous, supportive customers is what makes this place more than just a job. Cheers! The play is set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland in 1934. It’s a strange comic tale in the great tradition of Irish storytelling. As word arrives on Inishmaan that the Hollywood director Robert Flaherty is coming to the neighboring island of Inishmore to film “Man of Aran”, the one person who wants to be in the film more than anybody is young Cripple Billy. A touching, bittersweet comedy! Rated PG-13 In Georges Feydeau’s A Flea in Her Ear, opening June 18, Raymonde suspects her husband, Victor Emmanuel, of infidelity and she turns to her best friend, Lucienne, to help her gain proof. They concoct a ploy - based on a perfumed letter - to trap him at the Hotel Coq d’Or in Montretout. In true Feydeau fashion the plan misfires; the plot is complicated by confused identities, revolving beds, a great many doors and the fact that the stupid hotel porter, Poche, is the exact double of Victor Emmanuel.
