“2015 EUROPE & AFRICA YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS”
01.1 THE SITE
The PARCO DEL TEVERE EXTREME is located in the north of Rome, 30 minutes from the city center.
The watersports complex has two artificial lakes:
Lake 1: for the practice of Slalom-Tricks-Jump
Lake 2: for the practice of Slalom-Tricks
The Watersport Complex Parco del Tevere Extreme has already organized in big events. Our organization and structure can

ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME


BY PLANE: There are two main airports: Leonardo Da Vinci international Airport
(Rome Fiumicino airport), and Rome Ciampino.
BY CAR: the route to/from the North (Florence) or South (Naples) is the Autostrada del Sole Motorway, (brief. A1)
Via Aurelia, ancient Roman consular road between Rome and Florence, follows the west coast.
The route from the east coast is the Motorway A24
Every main road connecting Rome to the rest of Italy leads to the ring-road surrounding the city, called GRA Grande Raccordo
Anulare (A90): every gateway leads to the city center.

DETAILS TO GET TO THE TOURNAMENT SITE
The PDT EXTREME Complex is located in the North of Rome, on Tiberina road at Km. 8,300
 From any part of Rome, reach the GRA and get the gateway n° <<6 Flaminia>> towards Terni. Drive along Giubileo 2000
viaduct and turn the 1 st exit right on Tiberina road, and then right again towards Fiano. Drive straight ahead 8 Km. Entrance
Club is on the right. Take the paved road up to the Club House.
 From A1 Motorway exit at Roma Nord, then drive towards Rome and exit Castelnuovo di Porto. Take Tiberina road on the left
towards Rome for 4 Km. Entrance Club on the left. Keep paved road on to the Club House.

CURRENCY: Italy’s currency is the Euro. Euro notes come in denominations of €500, €200, €100, €50, €20, €10 and €5.
Euro coins come in denominations of €2 and €1, and 50, 20, 10, five, two and one cents. If you wish to change money,
you can do so in banks, at the airport, at the post office or in exchange offices located throughout the city.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
For citizens of any EU country that is in the Schengen agreement a valid Identity Card or a valid Passport is required to enter
the country. Normally no Visa is required for entry to Italy but we strongly suggest you contact the Italian Embassy or
Consulate in your country to verify this.

Chief Judge according to the weather forecast and to the
organization needs. Please be on site on time to check the
actual schedule that will be posted on the official notice board.
FAMILIARIZATION
Official familiarization will be offered August 3rd and August 4th from 08:00h to 20:00h, according to E&A Additional Rule:
Official Familiarization
(replaces IWWF Rule 1.12)
The last two days immediately before the Championships will be reserved and used for Official Familiarization. This will be
organized so that each competitor who has paid shall be allocated either a set number of passes and/or a certain amount of
time at the discretion of the Chief Judge based on the principle that every skier shall receive an equal opportunity for
familiarization.
Slalom skiers will receive a maximum of 4 passes (or 6 minutes); trick skiers 2 passes (or 5 minutes) and jump skiers 3 jumps
(or 6 minutes).
Each team requesting familiarization time shall indicate on the official Intention to Enter form time required, which must be
submitted at least 60 days before the scheduled start of the event. They must indicate how many skiers in each event wish to
participate. Teams who do not comply with this deadline will not be included in the familiarization schedule. At least 45 days
before the scheduled start of the event, the Organizer (in consultation with the Chief Judge, whose decision shall be final)
shall announce the official familiarization schedule (including the allowed time). Time will be scheduled for competitors on a
random team basis, and shall be grouped by event, i.e. slalom familiarization; trick familiarization and jump familiarization
(by jump height) will be grouped together. Any athlete whose time has not been paid for at least 30 days before the
scheduled start of the event, or who is not ready to ski in accordance with the schedule, will lose their official familiarization
time.
The Chief Judge shall have the discretion to change the start time of team’s familiarization based on extraordinary
circumstances.

The familiarization schedule will be published on June 21st and slots must be confirmed through payment by July the 6th.
Any slots that have not been confirmed through payment by that date, will be sold to teams at the same cost, on first come

INTENTION TO ENTER
Federations wishing to send a team to compete at the 2015 Europe & Africa Youth Championships, should complete and
return the “INTENTION TO ENTER” forms as soon as possible.

The deadline date according to E&A rules is June 5th.
For late submission of the INTENTION TO ENTER form a penalty of 200,00 € will be applied.

ENTRY FORM & ENTRY FEE
According to the IWWF E&A Confederation the 2015 Europe & Africa Youth Championships Federations should complete and
return the “ENTRY FORM”.

The deadline date according to E&A rules is July 21st.
According to the IWWF E&A Confederation the 2015 Europe & Africa Youth Championships “ENTRY FEE “will be 140,00 € per
skier for 1, 2 or 3 events.
Late ENTRY FEES, in accordance with E&A rules, will cost 10,00 € per day per skier.

CEREMONIES
OPENING CEREMONY will take place in the center of Rome: athletes will parade along the oldest bridge of Rome named Ponte
Milvio (built in 110 BC), then the official opening will take place in the suggestive Stadium of the Marbles, which is located on
the other side of the Tiber river, just a few hundred meters. The Stadium has Carrara marble steps lined by huge 59 marble
statues of athletes.
The Organizer will provide athletes with transportation between tournament and ceremony locations.
The Opening Ceremony will be free of charge.
CLOSING CEREMONY: All medals will be presented on the site.
A fine Cocktail-Music event at the end of awarding ceremony will close the event and greet all guests. Also in this event we
will be pleased to entertain and to thank all the members of the Jury, Officials and Representatives both of the International
Federation and the Italian one.
To attend the Closing Cocktail-Music event must pay a ticket fee which cost will set by the catering involved in.
Further details about both ceremonies will be provided in the next Bulletin.

OFFICIAL TOW BOAT
Official Towboat of the 2015 Europe & Africa Youth Championships will be the Nautique 200 6L, equipped with the latest
version of Zero Off speed control.
OFFICIAL SPEAKER
Official Speaker in English language will be Mrs. Marta Iacopini. Lots of leading athletes and experts will comment live
through talks and interviews.

TRANSPORT

TRANSPORT FOR TEAM:
The organizer will not provide local transport between airport/hotel/competition sites. All major
rental car companies have offices at Leonardo Da Vinci Airport and Ciampino Airport.

Training at PARCO DEL TEVERE EXTREME Complex is available starting in April. Should you be interested in booking, send an

Training times will be offered and sold in slots of 15 minutes intervals on both lakes.
Keep in mind that
LAKE 1: [Slalom-Tricks-Jump] will be the tournament lake.
LAKE 2: [Slalom-Tricks] will be available for practice throughout the tournament. (reservation is required)
The rate of a 15 min. training slot is 60,00 € . Training should be paid by bank transfer by 21st July.

FOOD SERVICE
Our famous Bistrot will provide all teams with daily freshly cocked meals. Our chef specialized in Mediterranean cuisine
offering a variety of dishes that can satisfy all diet needs.
Every day all team members will be able to choose their favorite meal among several options so they can vary according to
their taste, and satisfy those who are suffering from food intolerances. The athletes will have meals that meet their needs of
carbs, proteins and vitamins.
Team member are allowed to buy in advance their daily meals until 05th June and simplify every procedure:
Option a. [7 lunch tickets-meal carnet for 140,00 €] for those will stay on PDT Extreme 7 days.
Option b. [5 lunch tickets-meal carnet for 100,00 €] for those will stay on PDT Extreme 5 days.
During the tournament Tickets-meal will be sold at the Club at a cost of 25,00 €.

We will also have a snack-bar on site open all day with hot & cold refreshments, sandwiches, ice creams and other snacks.
SKI STORAGE
The organization will supply storage for athlete’s equipment.
Please, note that security staff will be on site 24 hors a day. However, the organization is not responsible for equipment that
is lost or damaged.



 01.4 RULES



LIABILITY
The organizer Committee and E&A will not be liable for any loss or damage to equipment or personal property, and injuries
to athletes, officials, judges, official volunteers, and other persons attending official or unofficial programmers during the
event. Athletes are required to purchase and show proof of personal accident insurance prior to entry. The insurance policy
must provide coverage internationally.
The organizer will not be responsible for any injury sustained, at any time, by any athlete from his participation in these
events.
Any costs incurred for medical treatment and for hospitalization in Italy are high. Adequate personal medical insurance
coverage is necessary. Certificate of medical insurance coverage/full payment is required before medical
treatment/hospitalization takes place.
DOPING CONTROL
In accordance with the IWWF Anti-Doping Rules, drug controls will be conducted during both competitions. In Entering these
competition all athletes agree to be subject to doping control.
