Canterbury Museum Discovery Area Discovery, Canterbury Museum's natural history centre for children, is bursting with weird and wonderful things to explore. Dig for fossils, and learn all about our amazing world and the creatures that share it. Discovery is located on Level 3 of the Museum. No educator will be facilitating the session. Groups are self-driven. You can visit other attractions in museum at your leisure. ! Spectrum St Art The journey starts at the YMCA with a street art journey from one end of the scale to the other; from massive spray cans to miniature masterpieces, from viral videos to stick-up selfies and from Banksy to The Bronx. Keep an eye out on the city streets for the huge painted walls across the CBD. http://streetart.co.nz/spectrum/ There will be a guide to talk to you at Spectrum St Art as your group has questions and would like further information. ! Elmwood Kids2Town, April 2015 ! Visit the Christchurch City Council Pop into the CCC at your leisure. In your group discuss what the building is, who works there, what is the role of a city council…. etc. Can you find out any information about our city? There isn’t a guided tour or person to talk to your group but they do know we will be popping in throughout the day. Please make sure you are considerate of other people. ! Imagination Station Lego Sensory Games and Challenges: A facilitator will run a 60 minute session of games and activities with the focus on ‘Do you see what I see?’. The class sessions will begin at: Session 1: 9.45 - 10.45am Session 2: 11.30am - 12.30pm Session 3: 1.00-2.00pm Please ensure you arrive promptly for these sessions. If you are early the children can use the ‘free play’ lego area. Please be considerate of other children. ! Notes - If you need a first aid kit the class teacher will have one. - Please ensure you are supervising the children in your at all times. - Children must be accompanied to the toilet. - Morning Tea and Lunch - each class is free to have morning tea and lunch at a location of their choice.
