FINLAY BARBER
Tomorrow is Trevithick day and some year 5/6 children will represent Rosemellin in the Bal
Maidens and Miners dance. The dancers will meet in Basset Street at 10am. The dance will begin
at 10.15 and continue up through the main street and finish at 10.45am. If you would like your
child to take part in the record breaking attempt to have as many Bal Maidens and Miners in the same place,
please meet at the rear of Wetherspoons at 11.15am. This is entirely up to the individual and will not be
organised by the school. Please come and look at our school display in the Masonic Hall in Cross Street. We are
hoping for sunny weather but unfortunately the forecast isn’t looking too good.

We ticked off on a list all the foods we tried. I
liked the cheese best, especially the mature
cheddar! It was yummy. It was a fun trip. Akira

DRAGONS KARATE
Children at the Dragon’s club were recently graded for their
Junior Black Belt awards after two or more years practice.
MULTISKILLS
Ben Smith, Molly Roberts, Jacob Doyle, Caleb Simpson and Patti Sliwinska.
Children had to demonstrate patterns of movement, self-defence grabs,
sparring and board breaking techniques. The Junior Black Belt prepares
children to be able to start the traditional ‘Soo Bahk Do’ curriculum,
which they will all hopefully join in July.
HOCKEY
On Monday 20th April Menna, Miah, Cory, Ollie, Lucas, Joe, Simon,
Anya and Molly went to Camborne School to play Hockey. We
played against Trevithick School. In the first half we scored 3 and the
second half we scored 2. The end result was 5-1. After the match we
played a fun session and we were mixed up with Trevithick pupils and had
a friendly game and it was a draw 1-1. It was a really fun afternoon and
we were very happy that we won! By Menna and Miah
