1st Annual “Toby’s Dream” Project 5K Memorial Race/Brunch
Sponsorship/Donor Levels in support of the “Toby’s Dream” Project 5k.
Stuart “Toby” Pennels, as President of the Windham
Veterans Association utilized his leadership managerial
skills to bring order and direction to the Association. Under
his guidance the Windham Veterans Center was moving into
the 21st Century with enhancements that would make the
Center a better rental deal for the community. His planned
improvements included a new electronics package that
would allow renters to use a range of digital devices, an
enhanced building security system and most critical to
the plan, the paving of the Windham Veterans
Center’s parking lot and drive.
Unfortunately, Toby’s dream of improving the Center was
cut short by a tragic accident. One Veteran put it this way,
“Toby, a known fund raiser, comes into the picture. He has a
track record of raising thousands of dollars. …. He had many
ideas that he thought would get the job done. But before he could
implement any of these he was cut down in the prime of life…… (It
seems like) Everything falls apart…”

With “Mud Season” fast upon us, anyone visiting the Windham Veterans Center quickly understands the
implications to not having the parking lot and entrance drive paved.
So, “Toby’s Dream” came about as a collaboration of the Veterans in the Association to honor Toby’s
memory with the naming of the entrance road as Toby Pennels Memorial Drive and to pursue his
“Dream” by raising the funds needed to complete the paving project.
To date over $20,000.00 has been raised towards a goal of $50,000.00.

In order to meet our goals we have multiple options for you or your business to choose from to sponsor,
donate, or give to assist us in our pursuit to fulfill the “Toby’s Dream” Project.

You or your business can show your support in many ways at the event listed above.
1. We hope to offer prizes to our top runners in the different races that we are hosting.
2. We are looking for a grand prize raffle and hope you could assist with items to add to this prize.
3. We are looking for raffle items for a silent raffle that will take place before and after the race.
4. We are looking for companies to sponsor and cover our t-shirt costs for the event.
5. We are looking for companies to fund the finish line timing system costs.
6. A general monetary donation.
Note: Any race sponsor who donates services, monetary donations, or products at a value of $250 or
more will have their logo placed onto the race day t-shirts and will have their business linked in off of our
race website. They will have their business name projected at the event and, if possible, they will be
announced at the event. Those sponsors can bring marketing materials to the event, if interested.
