CHARITIES Run or DYE is committed to leaving the world a more colourful place. We would not be a success without the help of our charity partners who provide a small army of marshals and we would both welcome your support. NATIONAL CHARITY PARTNER - HELP FOR HEROES Run or DYE welcomes HELP FOR HEROES as their National Charity Partner. Their mission is to deliver an enduring national network of support for our wounded and their families. They want to inspire and enable those who have made sacrifices on our behalf to achieve their full potential. The war in Afghanistan may be over, but for those who have suffered life-changing injuries, their battles are just beginning. They have estimated that, of the 220,560 individuals deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq between 2001 and 2014, up to 75,000 servicemen and women (and their families) may need their support in the future. Help for Heroes will not let them fight these battles alone. Donate via TEXT MESSAGE! Text HERO to 70900! You will be charged £5 plus your standard network rate and the full £5 will go to Help for Heroes. Mobile Text Telephone helpline - 01494 750 500. LOCAL CHARITY PARTNER – DEVON AIR AMBULANCE TRUST Devon Air Ambulance Trust raises the funds to keep two helicopters flying in Devon. Independent of Government funding, operating costs of the service are met by public fundraising/donations. Paramedics are provided by South Western Ambulance Services NHS Foundation Trust, supported in part by the Charity. It costs in the region of £4.5 million each year to keep both helicopters flying, and in 2016 the service will extend its flying hours to fly into the night. This is an exciting next step and means that Devon will get an even better Air Ambulance service. 8 EXETER 7. PARTNERS IN ASSOCIATION WITH – THIS GIRL CAN Fear of judgment is stopping many of us from taking part in exercise. But, as thousands of women up and down the country are proving, it really doesn’t have to. This Girl Can is a national campaign developed by Sport England and a wide range of partnership organisations. It's a celebration of active women up and down the country who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets!
