The Venue
Located in scenic downtown Glenwood Springs, the historic Hotel Colorado will host
the first two days of the meeting. The third day will be held at the Gypsum Biomass
Power Plant located in nearby Gypsum, Colorado.
Who Should Attend
Foresters, loggers, tree farmers and others who love trees will gather to network with
and learn from one another. Presenters consist of professionals, elected officials,
retailers, forest product manufacturers, guides, researchers, agency officials, professors
and students from the Colorado-Wyoming area. SAF-CFE and Certified Logger Credits
will be offered.

Gondola Ride // Fairy Caves Guided Tour

Glenwood Hot Springs
Meet in the Hotel Lobby at 9:30 am. The day will begin by carpooling over to Glenwood
Caverns Adventure Park. We will take a tram ride to the top of Iron Mountain, followed
by two 45-minute guided walking tours of the world famous Fairy Caves. After the cave
tour, the group will enjoy lunch on top at Lookout Grill. We will then take the tram back
down and head for a relaxing soak in the Glenwood Hot Springs adjacent to the Hotel
Colorado. The tram / Fairy Caves tour is $25, and Glenwood Hot Springs is $16.

Hike to Hanging Lake, Glenwood Canyon
Just a mile to the top but with 1,000-foot vertical climb, this hike takes about 90 minutes round-trip.
Five minutes beyond the lake is Spouting Rock, which is not to be missed once the lake is attained.
Hike the Storm King Trail
This trail is not recommended for everyone. You must be in good health, and it is recommended to
hike with another person. The BLM maintains the path in this condition, based on the families' wishes
to pay tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives and acknowledge the conditions they work under.

Fish the Colorado River, Eagle River, Roaring Fork River, Crystal River or Frying Pan River.
