Make plans NOW to participate in this year’s Professional Development Seminar and Planning Conference.
Beginning at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 29, we will meet in the relatively new TAMU Agriculture and Life Sciences
Building (AGLS Bldg. room 129). Following a brief welcome we will interact with Dr. Doug Steele, Dr. Travis Miller
and Dr. Susan Ballabina.
Next, we will be treated to a presentation about the political process by Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz followed by a break.
After this, we will have a discussion led by Lisa Whittlesey and Rusty Hohlt on developing a program plan from an
agent’s perspective. They will be sharing the surveys and one pagers they put together for the Learn, Eat, Grow
Program. They are also hoping to share one put together on the Earth-Kind program. Then we are planning to have
a working session to try to develop one for the local food, community garden, sustainable food production arena.
Susan Ballabina, Monty Dozier and Elaine Fries will all participate in this session.
On Thursday, we will have a couple of tour options or maybe you desire one on own or free time followed by lunch at
