June 7 - Last Godly Play class until September Last Griswold Forum until September The General Convention June 7 - Read to Feed Challenge The children and youth of Saint Ann’s have chosen to participate in Read to Feed; a program created by Heifer International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending world hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Our young people will be asking for sponsors for each book they read, time spent reading or books that are read to them from June 7th till June 14th (Youth Sunday). Contact Kendall Perkins for more info - 860-391-5593 June 9 - 7:30pm Village Harmony Concert This unique world music vocal ensemble includes 16 college-aged and young adult Village Harmony veterans, many of whom have sung and traveled with Village Harmony for many years. The program features a large set of traditional and newly composed songs and dances from South Africa, American shape-note songs and contemporary compositions, traditional songs from Caucasus Georgia and the Balkans, and a set of renaissance works. Suggested admission at the door is $10, $5 for students and seniors. June 14 - immediately following 10:30 worship Annual Parish Picnic Saint Ann’s will supply burgers, dogs, veggie burgers, buns, drinks and condiments. Please bring a salad or dessert to share and come join us for food and fellowship under the tent on the front lawn! Lots of games and fun to participate in or just watch! June 14 is also Youth Day where we will honor our youth and youth leaders as well as have youth participation in the 10:30 service. June 28 - Violeta’s last Sunday with us as Organist/Choirmaster Join us on the 28th to say goodbye to our wonderful friend and talented musician as she heads into retirement to spend more time with her family. Following the service we invite you to enjoy an extended coffee hour. If you would like to make a contribution in thansgiving for Violeta’s 8 years with us, please send a check made out to Saint Ann’s with Violeta noted in the memo line. . . . . And remember the Nearly New Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Summer Worship: July & August service times are 8:30am and 10am.
