“To keep me from sin and straying from Him, God has used devotion to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. My life vows destined to be
spent in the light irradiating from the tabernacle, and it is to the Heart of Jesus
that I dare go for the solution of all my problems.” - Pope John XX III

Saint of the Week:
St. Albert Chmielowski
Born: August 20, 1845
Died: December 25, 1916 Memorial: June 17 Canonized: November 12, 1989
Albert was born to a wealthy aristocratic family and was involved in politics from his
youth. He was injured during a violent uprising and lost his leg. In Krakow, Poland he
used his artistic abilities to make a living. He was also gentle and compassionate and felt
called to help those in need. Finally, he left his art behind and devoted his life to working with the poorest
of Krakow. He founded men’s and women’s orders called The Third Order of St. Francis, Servants of the Poor.
In 1949, St. Pope John Paul II wrote a well received play about Albert. The play was made into a film in 1997
called Brother of Our God.

We cleaned up!
Thanks to all our spring cleaning helpers. We sanitized
classrooms, sorted Fr.’s garage, scrubbed
walls and windows, weeded, removed
floor stains, and more.
However, we didn’t get to everything we
wanted to clean. We still need helpers to
keep our parish buildings looking nice.
Could you spare a couple of hours this summer? Please call the
parish office to volunteer. For those who need service hours,
this could be a convenient way to earn them!
Monday Mass Time Change
Starting July 6, the Monday daily Mass at the
church will be at 5:30 p.m.
(Mass was 8 a.m. previously)
All other daily Masses times will remain the same.
