Tony Gu is the Partner of Rhodium Capital, a boutique investment bank and asset
management firm based in Singapore and Shanghai. He is in charge of outbound
cross-border M&A deals for big Chinese companies, as well as cross-border ECM transactions,
especially in share placement/RTO/privatization/de-listing/re-listing.
In 2014, Tony managed to close one of the largest M&A deals of the year, in Chinese Investment
Banking industries, where Haitong Securities (No.2 Investment Bank in China) acquired 100% of BESI,
the largest investment bank in Portugal, for 450M$.
In 2015, aside from ongoing M&A transactions, Tony starts working on a few RTO/Privatization deals
to help clients better leverage the booming capital market in China. Tony is also working on
structuring alternative investment asset classes that will help Chinese investors diversify their assets
globally.
Tony is trained as an Engineer and has been working many years in technology and investment
sectors before joining Rhodium Capital.
