this year’s theme is Government Works. Public servants do amazing
things across our great nation and around the world. So it is especially
appropriate this week to recognize the outstanding achievements made by
our colleagues here at the National Archives and Records Administration.
The accomplishments we salute today are prime examples of the
work we do every day toward our four strategic goals:
• Make Access Happen
• Connect with Customers
• Maximize NARA’s Value to the Nation
• Build Our Future Through Our People
It takes every one of us, working together, to successfully pursue
NARA’s mission to provide public access to Federal records. Our mission
is a lofty one and serves the needs and interests of people today and far
into the future. Records matter and what we do matters.
We see dedication to this mission in every part of NARA across
the nation, expressed in the work of every person in every facility.
