The ‘Champion of Champions’ will be the swimmer with the highest FINA point score from any TWO Open events (e.g. any TWO from 100m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 100m Butterfly, 100m Breaststroke). The winner of the ‘Champion of Champions’ will receive the President’s Cup, plus the Champions prize OR a designated non-monetary prize to equivalent or greater value at the Meet Organiser’s discretion. AGE GROUP CHAMPION Prize – SAR 2,000 The Age Group Champion will have the highest FINA Point Score from ANY TWO Age Group events. JUNIOR CHAMPION Prize – SAR 800 The Junior Champion will have the highest FINA Point Score from ANY TWO Junior events. TOP TEAM Prize – SAR 5,000 The Top Team winner will be the team with the most accumulated Team Points from ALL events. NATIONAL RECORDS1 Any Saudi national who breaks a Saudi National Open LC Record: SAR 3,000 Any Saudi national who breaks a Saudi National Age Group LC Record: SAR 1,500 ALL COMERS RECORDS1 ANY (non-Saudi) participating athlete who breaks a Saudi All Comers LC Record (Open Age only): SAR 1,500 1 Limited to maximum Record prize-money of SAR 15,500. In the event that more records are broken than are covered by the total prize-money available for records, then individual record payments will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. 2015 SASF Open & Masters Grand Prix (7.5.15) ‘SKINZ’ For the first time in the Kingdom SKINZ ‘Winner takes all’ Prize-money of SAR 5,000 SKINZ FORMAT SKINZ will be swum over four rounds. The first round will be comprised of the fastest 8 swimmers from the Open 100m Freestyle event, spear-headed. remain in their allocated lanes in each round. Each swimmer is to Progressive elimination of the two slowest swimmers will occur after each round until in the final fourth round only two competitors remain. 2015 SASF Open & Masters Grand Prix (7.5.15) MEET CONDITIONS The 2015 Saudi Swimming Open & Masters Grand Prix is conducted under SASF Rules and any local Meet Conditions listed on this poster and in the program. Any variation to local conditions will be notified no later than Thursday 28th May 2015. ENTRIES This is an Open Grand Prix program. Closing Date for Entries: Thursday June 4th 2015 at 5.00pm Entry Methods: ALL entries with entry times must be submitted to the Event Organiser at [email protected] by one of the approved entry methods, no later than Thursday June 4th 2015 at 5.00pm. Approved entry methods include: • TM Entry File • Online Entry Form • Manual paper entry Late Entries: LATE ENTRIES will be at the sole discretion of the Meet Organizer. If accepted, late entries will be subject to a Late Entry Fee of SAR 20 per event. Entry Age: ENTRY AGE is age on 13th June (Gregorian calendar). ALL Dates of Birth (DOB) MUST use the Gregorian calendar. Age Categories: Junior: 10/11/12 Years Age Group: 13/14 Years & 15/16 Years Masters: 25-34 Years, 35 – 44 Years & 45 Years and over Open: All Ages ALL athletes are eligible for entry to Open events. Entry Fee: FREE entry. This is an invitational Grand Prix event and all entry fees (except late entries) will be met by the event's sponsors. Entry Times: ALL entry times must clearly show whether they are Short Course (25m) times or Long Course (50m) times. All Short Course entry times will be converted to Long Course by the Meet Organizer. Entry times SHOULD have been swum in the previous 12 months. Qualifying Times: There are NO QUALIFYING TIMES for entry. ALL entry times MUST be actual times swum (either Long Course of Short Course). Any entries made with no times swum (NT) will be seeded after timed entries. Travel: This is an Open Grand Prix event. ALL participants are responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements. 2015 SASF Open & Masters Grand Prix (7.5.15) Entry into SKINZ: Only athletes who have entered and swum in the Open 100m Freestyle event are eligible for entry into the SKINZ event. Athletes who wish to withdraw from the SKINZ event MUST do so with the Event Organizer WITHIN 30 MINUTES of the results of Event #1 Open 100m Freestyle being posted. TWO Reserves will be named for the SKINZ event. Failure to show at marshalling for the SKINZ event without scratching will result in a SAR 500 fine. In addition to the fine, any swimmer who fails to show will lose their eligibility for Grand Prix prize-money in all other events. SKINZ Rules: The SKINZ event will consist of the fastest 8 athletes from the Open 100m Freestyle, swimming in four 50m swims (rounds), each swum off 3 minutes. All swimmers must swim in their allocated lane. From each round, the slowest 2 swimmers are eliminated. The fourth and final round will consist of the two remaining swimmers. The winner of the final round will be the winner of the SKINZ event. In the event of a dead heat occurring, in order to establish progression into the next round, an additional swim-off round will be swum between the dead-heated swimmers. In the event of a dead heat in the final round, a further swim-off will be required, until there is a clear winner. TEAMS: Swimmers MAY enter the Grand Prix as individuals (Unattached) OR as members of a Team. After entries are closed, any unattached entries WILL NOT be subsequently added to a team. Teams may be a GPYW Club, School, non-GPYW affiliated club, company, or private team. Team Points: Team Points for individual events will be allocated to the fastest 8 swimmers in each event: 1st – 12 points; 2nd – 9 points; 3rd – 7 points; 4th – 5 points; 5th – 4 points; 6th – 3 points; 7th – 2 points; 8th – 1 point Team Points for Relay events will be allocated to the fastest 8 teams in each relay event: 1st – 24 points; 2nd – 18 points; 3rd – 14 points; 4th – 10 points; 5th – 8 points; 6th – 6 points; 7th – 4 points; 8th – 2 points Top Team: The Top Team award will be made to the team with the most accumulated points. In the event of a tie, the Top Team Prize will be shared between the tied teams. Relays: Relay entries including relay team members MUST be made with the Official Entry Form. Changes to the composition or order of a relay team MUST be made with the Event Organizer NO LATER than Friday 12th June 3.00pm. ‘Swim Time’ Relays: This is a major sponsored exhibition relay. Details to follow. Marshalling: Swimmers MUST report to Marshalling, at least two events before they race. START TIMES: Session Times: The session times on the Meet Program is the start of the first event for that session. Swimmers MUST be in MARSHALLING 10 minutes in advance of the session start time. Warm-Up: The pool will be available for Warm-Up TWO HOURS in advance of each session start time. Warm-Up will conclude 15 minutes BEFORE the start of each session.
