SENIORS: Are you a Scholar of Distinction? Have you completed an application?
There's a list of seniors, posted outside of the counseling office, who are currently
identified as Scholars of Distinction. If you're not on the list and you think you should be,
see your counselor ASAP!
SOPHMORES: There's still time to apply to the Center for Advanced Learning
(commonly referred to as CAL) for the next school year! Don't delay, complete an
application today! We're holding a spot for you!
PLANNING TO TAKE THE SAT OR ACT SOON? If you are planning to take the SAT
or ACT soon, the Princeton Review will be here on Thursday, April 2 at 6:30pm to teach
you about how to improve your scores. They will be discussing a practice test that was
given earlier to Barlow students, but all are welcome to come learn more about the
tricks to succeeding on both tests. Come to the College & Career Center if you have
questions.
FREE COLLEGE FAIR: If you are still wondering where to go to college, you should
plan to attend the Spring College Fair held at University of Portland's Childs Center on
Sunday, April 26 from noon to 3. This event is free and a great way to get questions
answered about school from all over the USA. Come get a preregistration packet from
the Career Center to save yourself some time later.
STUDENTS: If you checked out a book from our Library before Spring Break, there is a
good chance that it is now overdue. Please return or renew your Library books to avoid
late fines and restrictions to your Library accounts.
STUDENTS: If you are interested in participating in the Bi-Annual Springfest Motocross
Race, sign ups are located outside the TMC. Anyone is eligible. You have one month to
sign up! Don’t delay!
SOCCER PLAYERS: If you are interested in the Eastside Timbers 7 v 7 Coed Spring
League, please see Coach Bridgnell in room 101 for registration forms. The registration
deadline is April 12th and practices will starts on April 21st.
COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER: Are you looking for a way to get involved in your
community? Consider becoming part of the Multnomah Youth Commission and make a
difference in the way youths live. Come get an application in the College & Career
Center. It is due by April 27th.
STAFF AND STUDENTS:
Get your Fashion Show Tickets for $15 at the Bruin Webstore or
cash/checks to Mrs. Calcagno in room 110. The show is Friday, April
