SPORTS CAMP!
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR — STEVE TAYLOR, M.Ed.
Beverly Hills Sports Camp, in it’s 38th year, is a summer
day camp for children ages 5 to 13. It is located at Beverly
Hills High School which is easily accessible to the westside
community. The primary goal of Beverly Hills Sports Camp is
to provide a variety of camping, recreational, sports and arts
activities in a safe, nurturing and positive environment that
will enrich all participants. Each program provides instruction
in a variety of athletic, recreational and fine arts areas.
What makes BHSC so unique is the professionally trained
and experienced staff, who utilize group instruction and
positive reinforcement for skill acquisition. Each camper
learns at their own pace and develops friendships that
continue year after year.
Steve holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa
Barbara, and a Masters in Physical Education from Azuza
Pacific University. He is currently a teacher at Beverly
Hills High School and also coaches football, baseball and
lacrosse. Steve is the Co-Director of the Sports Camp.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR — ROBIN SEGAL, M.S.W.
Robin has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of
Arizona and a Master of Social Work from the University
of Southern California. She is a substitute teacher for the
Beverly Hills School District. She is also the Founder of
United in Harmony, a non-profit charity, serving homeless
children in the Los Angeles area. Robin is Co‑Director
of the Sports Camp, as well as the BHSC Administrator.
Robin and Steve are married and have 4 children.
Activities Director — KEITH MORTIMER
a.k.a. Coach Keith
Coach Keith has been teaching physical education and
coaching team sports on the Westside for over 26 years.
He is currently the Athletic Director, a P.E. teacher and coach
at St. Paul The Apostle. Keith is also the recipient of the
Los Angeles Sports and Recreation Character Counts Victory
with Honor Award for Exemplary Sportsmanship.

GIRLS’ CLUB Program
Entering Kindergarten – 8th Grade
1ST GRADE – 5TH GRADE
Our camp is located at Beverly Hills High School which
is centrally located in Beverly Hills and offers excellent
sports facilities that include an oversize turf field, basketball
and volleyball courts, baseball diamond and a dirt bike
course. At BHSC we offer an instructional sports intensive
program. We employ counselors from local collegiate sports
programs who act as excellent role models for our campers.
These counselors are trained in the value of positive
reinforcement and the importance of teamwork and social
interaction. We pride our continued success on our camper
to counselor ratio of 8 to 1. Our program has a very special
calendar of events with some exciting weekly activities,
such as a water festival, tournaments and color wars.

The Girls’ Club is a unique program that offers girls a chance
to have some “girl fun” as well as play sports. This program
will combine a day of sports activities such as soccer, big
bat, scooter hockey, flag attack and more with an afternoon
of arts and crafts, beauty salon, jewelry, movies, recording a
music CD and more.

Counselor In Training
BOYS & GIRLS ENTERING 9TH OR 10TH GRADE
Our Counselor In Training Program (CIT) is available for
those enterng the 9th or 10th grade. If you are interested
in this program, please contact our office to request a CIT
application and to schedule an interview. The cost for this
program is $40 per day. CITs may choose 3, 4, or 5 days
per week.
REGISTRATION
Applications must be accompanied by a minimum $200.00
deposit per child in order to reserve space in one of our
programs. There is a $100.00 non-refundable administration
fee per child if cancelled. The remaining $100.00 will be
refunded if cancellation is made 14 days prior to the start
of camp. Your deposit will be applied to camper’s tuition,
which is due in full prior to the start of camp. If
payment is not received by the start of camp, we reserve
the right to withhold your $200.00 deposit and cancel your
child’s reservation. Cancellation request must be made in
writing and sent by certified mail. No refunds after June 1st
(no exceptions). Returned checks are subject to a $25.00
service charge. If you have any questions or would like to

TRANSPORTATION
Beverly Hills Sports Camp offers for your convenience door to
door transportation with certified drivers. All transportation
requests must be within our boundaries. If you choose not to
select our camp transportation, we will be happy to assist with
carpool information. We offer free transportation from local
Beverly Hills Summer School to camp.
General Information
The Beverly Hills Sports Camp operates Monday through
Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Camp will be closed
for Independence Day.
Lunches & SNACK SHACK
Beverly Hills Sports Camp offers a hot lunch program
provided by Marty’s Hamburger Stand. The cost for lunch
is $6.50 per day. Children are able to choose between
hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets that come with chips
or fries and a drink. Pre-ordering is not required. We also
offer a Snack Shack where campers can buy sports drinks,
popsicles and other items.
1. Before and After Care is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
and from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $7.00 per hour per
child. Please sign-up on your application. (Must be pre-paid).
2. Make-up days are only available during the week
missed. If your child has an extended illness please
call our office immediately and discuss it with a camp
director.
3. We offer a 10% sibling discount on 2nd or 3rd child, etc.
4. We provide secondary medical insurance and we request that
you have primary coverage.
5. The Beverly Hills Sports Camp reserves the right to terminate
a camper without refund or advanced notice for behavioral
problems, non payment, or any other valid reason.
