Work experience and positions From April 1st 2010 - present: Secretary General of the Norwegian Atlantic Committee From 2006-2010: Independent political analyst and commentator in European Affairs From 1993-2005: Director of research at the Oslo based think tank the “European Program”. From 1992-1993 she was a research fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) in Oslo. Hansen Bundt gives lectures and briefings on European topics and security issues regularly in different fora; such as the Defense Academy, different Ministries, NGO’s, business organizations, journalist clubs and so forth. She is frequently invited by the Norwegian media (television, radio and newspapers) as an expert analyst and commentator on European, transatlantic and German Affairs From 1992-1997 she was a teacher at the International Summer School, University of Oslo (UiO). Education In 2009 she graduated from the Norwegian Defence University College (NDUC), main course. Hansen Bundt has a final degree in Political Science (the Norwegian degree cand. polit.) from the University of Oslo (1992). Her university study includes three disciplines: political science (4 years), history (1 1/2 years) and a semester of intensive study of the Soviet and Eastern European political and economic systems (1986). In 1990 she received a scholarship from the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) in Oslo to conclude her final thesis in political science. In 1987 she got a scholarship from the Norwegian MFA to study at the Humboldt University in Berlin, GDR, in East German history and politics. Writings and publications Hansen Bundt has published a number of articles during the years; written reports on behalf of the Norwegian MFA and MOD, and contributed to several books, mainly in the Norwegian language. Her writing covers various contemporary European issues, such as the Euro crises, developments of the Common European Security and Defense Policy (CESDP), EU- and NATO enlargements, geopolitics of Energy, German reunification and foreign policy, and Central European politics and developments, as well as Norway’s relationship with the European Union and Norwegian security policy. From 2005 - 2012 Hansen Bundt was a regular columnist in the weekly newspaper Morgenbladet.
