Family registration is open for the
2015 Calgary District JFW Spring Camp
Join us for JFW fun in Calgary’s Backyard!
When: June 5th – 7th (check-in after 2:30 pm on the 5th)
Where: Woodland West, a beautiful, forested 40-acre property that
pursues sustainable practices. This dreamland borders Kananaskis and, depending
on traffic, is about a one-hour drive south from downtown Calgary, near Bragg

Who: We’re looking forward to seeing all Leaders, Parents, Wardens & Alumni
from Calgary and district clubs.
What: JFW-style learning, activities, entertainment plus a yummy Saturday
evening dinner for all. We’ll be celebrating the beauty, nature, fun and games
available in our own backyard!
We have plenty of great Saturday sessions in store for all abilities and ages.

Activities are either full-day, ½ day or ¼ day. Sessions are scheduled from 9 am to 4
pm on Saturday. There will also be entertainment and action Friday and Saturday
nights and Sunday morning too!
How to register:
Head to: http://calgaryjfwcamp.yorg.ca/ (yes, yorg not org). Click on signup to
get started. Then create a family profile, a camp profile and pay. You can refer to the
steps outlined in the “how to register section” to register each member of your family
and to pay. Keep your password, as you will need it in May to register for sessions
(see below).
Cost:
$25 per person to a max of $100 per family (includes camp fees, session
costs and a Saturday-night red shirt dinner)
You can pay with etransfers (which are great as they save JFW money). Paypal
payments are also available at the secure website. If you require another payment

Note that you must pay your registration fees prior to session registration that starts
May 6th. You can have a sneak peek at the tentative session descriptions and
schedule on the website.
Last day to register your family for camp is May 22nd

Registration for Saturday sessions starts on May 6that
http://calgaryjfwcamp.yorg.ca/. Watch for a reminder email. Head to the
website where you’ll find session sign-up instructions along with a schedule, details
and descriptions of each session. Follow the directions on the website to select
sessions for each family member.
We will have one round of registration but you can go back to the website
anytime before May 27th to change your session choices. Wait list opportunities
will be available to try to best accommodate your preferences but we cannot
guarantee them. We will also have a session swapping opportunity Friday evening at
camp – a great chance to meet other CJFW district members and make a deal!
More details to come: We didn’t want to overwhelm you with too much
information to start. After your family is registered, we’ll make sure you have all the
information you need to pack and prepare for camp and to find this lovely spot!
