25 hour contractual position - (12:00-5:00 Monday – Friday)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Manages a variety of administrative, secretarial, public relations and constituency
services under the direction of a County Commissioner or County Administrator.
ESSENTIAL TASKS include the following; other duties may be assigned

Manage calendar, coordinate schedules and independently makes appointments
Screen and provide information in response to telephone calls, responding independently when possible
Compose, prepare, and process general and confidential correspondence, including e-mail, faxes, and proclamations
Establish, organize, and assure maintenance of paper and computer records management/ file systems
Coordinate meetings, programs, or events by securing location and making other appropriate arrangements, preparing and
issuing information and agendas, coordinating speakers, and processing minutes or other necessary follow through
information
Conduct research and prepare reports, surveys, and other complex documents
Research and develop resources and methodologies that create timely and efficient workflow
Arrange detailed travel plans and itineraries, compiling relevant documents
Provide administrative and secretarial support for County Commissioners including budget and personnel matters; and
relevant Committees, Boards, Commissions, assignments and projects
Respond to questions regarding overall Board of County Commissioner and County ordinances, policies, procedures, and
practices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate of Arts degree in office administration
Four years administrative/budget/secretarial experience; three years office management experience and two years supervisory
experience *
OR

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Six years administrative/budget/secretarial experience; three years office management experience and two years supervisory
experience *
* A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
