A BETTER SUMMER STARTS TODAY
Summer Camp Registration has started.
"The summer adventure camp has been a real blessing for my little one, who had a real
hard time with separation anxiety for almost the entire year of kindergarten. The staff at
her Y camp are so FUN and NURTURING that she hasn't experienced a single moment of
panic in the mornings. I'm able to go to work with peace of mind. I am so thankful for the
YMCA in my community!"

MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY
One of our long-time members, Art Kane, has stage IV kidney disease and is facing renal
failure. He is in desperate need of a live kidney donor. Can you help us spread the
word? His blood type is O+, but he can receive a kidney from O+ or O-. Other blood types
can also be helpful as being part of a paired exchange. The surgery for kidney donation is
done laparoscopically with tiny incisions and all medical expenses are paid for by Art's
insurance. Most people only need one kidney to live a long and healthy life. If you can help
spread the word, please pass this along. For more information contact Anne
at [email protected].
Art recently celebrated his 70th birthday by cycling 70 miles at the Y. He collected
donations and his efforts raised $1,050 for our 2015 Annual Giving Campaign.
His dedication to maintaining his health through exercise is an inspiration to everyone he encounters.

"I am excited to join the Sonoma County Y Family and to help contribute to the great program. I am originally
from Newcastle, England and have been in the USA for 10 years. I have been in the health and fitness field for
over 10 years and look forward to using all of my skills and experience to continue to make the Y a great place to
