If you are looking for that little bit extra
in your degree, the Bachelor of Science
(Advanced) (Honours) provides the
same breadth of opportunities as the
Bachelor of Science with the addition
of Honours Pathway Options. These
activities are designed to extend your
understanding and introduce you to
concepts that are more advanced
than standard course activities. For
added flexibility, up to a third of your
courses can be from other areas of the
University, so you can tailor a program
to your interests.
The first three years of the program
are the first stage towards gaining
a qualification in whichever area of
science you choose. In the Honours
year, you will complete a major
research project that allows a higher
degree of specialisation.
To remain enrolled in this program,
students must maintain an average
mark of 75 per cent each semester in
science courses. You can choose to
graduate with a Bachelor of Science
without doing the Honours year upon
completion of the first three years.

are groups of courses with a common
theme that demonstrate you have
concentrated your studies in a
certain area. Students are required to
complete at least a science major and
a minor as part of their program.
