Ask your friends! One of the great things about savvy circle projects is that we get to be product researchers for the brands we love! So it’s easy to get your friends on board to ask their opinions. Included in your Starter Kit is a book of ‘Ask your friends’ research sheets. Use these to simply and easily survey those around you to find out what other people think of Viakal. The combined results will be handed over to the team at Viakal, so everyone's opinions really do count. Once the sheets have been completed and handed back to you, simply log into the savvy circle and upload the results via your personal dashboard. What is limescale? The word ‘limescale’ conjures up images of chalk-encrusted kettles and dusty-looking pipes but it can affect the appearance of our home in all sorts of ways. When we were busy choosing items for our dream homes, we were all drawn to the gleaming wares on offer - those shiny countertops, those glistening taps. Cut to a year or two later and that sparkle becomes more difficult to maintain. This may be caused by the presence of limescale in your home. Limescale is a chalky substance caused by three main minerals: ▪ Calcium ▪ Carbonate ▪ Magnesium But why is it in my home? These minerals are all commonly found in water. The more we use water in our home, the more these minerals are deposited and eventually they will crystalise to form a white layer - limescale. The bad news is, it can be difficult to avoid this build up in hard-water areas. The good news? Is your house always ready for guests? Do you wish cleaning products had a longer-lasting affect? Here are the three easy steps we recommend when using Viakal: 1. Repeat if necessary. 16 Spreading the word Get Testing! Get social First things first, let’s see if limescale could be a problem for your friends and family. We want you to spread the word and we want you to have fun while you’re doing it! Here are some examples of things you can do: Here’s a quick ‘how to’ on using a water-hardness test strip: 1. Tear along the red strip to remove the packaging. 2. D ip the water hardness strip into a glass of tap water for one second, making sure all reaction zones on the strip (the 4 green tabs) are submerged. Become a spring cleaning goddess Far better than your average tupperware party, have a spring clean party! Invite a few friends over for some nibbles or drinks, swap your best personal cleaning and house-pampering tips, and demonstrate the results of Viakal in your own home. There's no harm in showing off a little! 3. Remove the strip from the water and gently shake off excess water. 4. Wait for one minute. Use a stopwatch to time this. 5. Assess the hardness of your water by comparing the reaction zones with the colour scale provided. The ‘pinker’ the strip the harder the water.
