Fall Outdoor Tennis
General Information
Our programs emphasize fun, fitness and friendship! All tennis programs provide a
wide variety of instruction, including stroke development, strategy, court positioning,
shot selection, footwork and supervised match play. We’re looking forward to a great
fall season with our tennis vendor, E-Town Tennis! All youth and adult classes will be
taught by top area tennis professionals.

2010 Fall Outdoor Youth Tennis Classes
This program is designed to give youth a solid foundation to maximize tennis
improvement and enjoyment. All youth classes will be taught by top area tennis
professionals. Registration deadline: September 8. If we don’t have enough
registrants by this date the program will be cancelled. We will continue to accept
registrations after this date IF the program had enough registrants as of the deadline.

Free Friday Night Tennis Lessons
Come learn to play tennis! It’s a sport you can play all your life; you don’t need a lot of
equipment and playing in the park is free! This is the fifth year we have offered this
free, popular program for Evanston residents. Registration is limited to one hour per
evening, but you are welcome to register for both Fridays! Tennis racquets and balls
are provided during class for those in need of equipment. Space is limited; please

enjoyment of the sport. They provide the right balance of a variety of instruction

and supervised match play so that players of every level are benefiting from and

Indoor Tennis Lessons at ETHS
Do you want to continue playing tennis during the winter, but don’t want to pay a
membership fee to a club? Join our indoor tennis programs at the Evanston Township
High School (ETHS) Fieldhouse! The programs provide a wide variety of instruction,
including stroke development, strategy, court positioning, shot selection, footwork and
supervised match play. No program Nov. 24-28.

Fall 2010
Winter Middle School Indoor Tennis League
This winter, boys and girls in Evanston’s public and private schools can play and
learn the game of tennis, which is a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime! Teams
will receive instruction and then play matches on Saturday afternoons at the ETHS
Fieldhouse. Players at all skill levels are welcome and will play on teams with their
classmates. The emphasis will be on skill development, teamwork, and fun!
The league will run for 10 weeks and racquets will be provided for those who don’t
have one. Registration deadline: Nov 1. No program Nov. 27 and Dec. 18-Jan. 1.
