National School Leadership Conference 2015 Preconference 102-CL – Monday June 15 Kyle Bender & Rendy Koeppel Leadership Institute Module 1: Culture & Climate Module 2: Time Management & Delegation This seminar will help leaders understand their role in shaping their ministry setting's culture and climate. Leaders will learn about effective climate and culture building strategies. The second segment of the seminar will give leaders tools to manage their daily workload and assist them in analyzing their daily schedules. Participants will learn delegation strategies as well as develop an understanding of the language and steps of workflow delegation. Mr. Kyle Bender Principal / Teacher - Citrus Springs, FL Kyle has served 21 years in the teaching ministry - the last 12 years serving as principal. He graduated from DMLC in 1993 and earned his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in Mequon, WI, in 2001. He currently serves at St. Paul's Lutheran School in Beverly Hills, Florida. St. Paul's has 5 1/2 teachers with 95 students from PreK through grade 8. Kyle also serves the South-Atlantic District as the District Schools Coordinator. Mr. Rendy Koeppel Principal / Teacher – Reseda, CA Rendy has served as a principal and teacher in WELS schools for 34 years. After graduation from DMLC he taught grades 4-8 at Mt. Calvary in Redding, CA, for 10 years. He then served for 9 years as principal and upper grade teacher at St. Peter, Schofield, WI. For the last 15 years he has served as principal and part time teacher at St. Paul's First in North Hollywood, CA. Rendy currently serves the Arizona-California District as the District Schools Coordinator. He and his wife, Maria, have four adult children. Rendy enjoys golfing, outdoor recreation, reading and traveling with his family.
