sponsored by Legacy Health and Wellness. A total of 54.53% (155.2 lbs. from
21 participants) weight loss for AFCO was
just enough to top RoyOMartin’s 53.92%

behind with a 43.0761% (18 participants;
121lbs.) weight loss.

Help prevent colon cancer with regular screenings
Take action
n Get screened regularly, especially
if you’re age 50 to 75. Screening
tests help prevent colorectal cancer
by finding precancerous polyps
(abnormal growths) so they can be
removed. Screening also finds this
cancer early, when treatment can be
most effective.
n Be physically active.
n Maintain a healthy weight.
n Don’t drink too much alcohol.
n Don’t smoke.
March was Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. This cancer can affect
the colon and rectum in both men and women, and it is the second
leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. The good news is this
disease is highly preventable. If you are 50 years of age or older, an
annual colon screening is recommended. Several different screening
tests can be used to find polyps or colorectal cancer. The tests include
sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, or high-sensitivity fecal occult blood testing
(FOBT). Each test can be used alone, or sometimes in combination with
each other. Legacy Health & Wellness now offers the less-invasive FOBT
testing in the office. Don’t delay getting your colorectal cancer screening.
It’s easy and convenient to make an appointment at Legacy, where you
can get prompt diagnosis and treatment.
