SCOTT COUNTY 4-H CAMP 2015 Monday, July 27th to Friday, July 31st Ages: 9 to 13 Scott County 4-H Shooting Sports Enjoy activities such as: Canoeing, Swimming, Arts & Crafts, Fishing, Nature Study, Recreation, Shooting Sports, Zip Lining and Much More! Cost: $200.00* *Lay-a-way for Camp! $50 deposit required at time of registration and make payments as you can. The full amount due by June 26th. Feltner Memorial 4-H Camp, near the Daniel Boone National Forest and Levi Jackson State Park. 2nd Annual Can Food Drive! A competition between all clubs. 4-H Clubs will compete against one another to raise the most canned goods and hygiene items. Their were a total of 324 items donated between all clubs. We are happy to announce that the 4-H Homeschool Club won this year’s competition. http://ces.ca.uky.edu/scott/4hyouthdevelopment Date: SC 4-H Neigh Team Horse Club Club News Rabbit Club The Rabbit Club will meet on Monday, April 27th, 6:00 p.m. Bring your rabbits and a friend to this meeting! Saddle Blankets Instead of a regular club meeting, Saddle Blanket members are invited to participate in a trail ride at the Scott County Reservoir with the Riders Up Club, April 18th, 10:30 a.m. Livestock Club The 4-H Livestock Club will meet on April 9, 5:30 p.m. at the Scott County Extension Office. Members are invited to attend an educational field trip to Eastern Kentucky University on April 11th. If you are interested in earning more certification hours please be at the Scott County Extension Office at 8:00 a.m. and we will carpool from there. Please join us for a Saddle Blanket Reunion! All former club members, leaders and parents are invited to attend this special reunion. The event will be held on April 19th, 5:30 p.m. at the Scott County Extension Office. Neigh Team Neigh Team will hold a regular club meeting on Tuesday, April 7th, 6:00 p.m. at the SCEO. Members we will hold a mounted meeting at open arena in the Scott County Park on April 18th at 2:00 p.m. 4-H Members are participating in a Spring Horse Clinic on April 11th at the Scott County Park. Members are also invited to a tour of Spy Coast Farm on April 18th. We will meet at the SCEO at 9:15 a.m. and carpool from there. Teen Leadership Club Teen Club members will meet on Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21 & 28, at 4:00 p.m. Teen Leadership is open to all teens who are interested in expanding their LEADERSHIP SKILLS! Dog Club The Scott County 4-H Dog Club will meet Mondays, April 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 6:00 p.m. Cloverbuds Cloverbuds will meet on Tuesday, April 21st, 5:30 p.m. at the SCEO. Club News continued... Country Ham Project Please be watching for information about an upcoming speech clinic. Crochet Club Crochet members will hold their last meeting on Tuesday, April, 7, 3:45 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Shooting Sports Shooting Sports practice schedules will be sent by email or you will be contacted by a coach with practice times. Shooting Sports will NOT be taking new members until September 2015. Performing Arts Club Club meetings will be separated by discipline: April 10th - Acting April 17th - Make up/Wardrobe/Dance April 24th - Set Building Monday, April 27th—all Performing Arts members are to attend this general meeting. All meetings will take place at 5:30 p.m. Hiking/Adventure Club Are you looking for adventure, want to be healthier, or just enjoy nature? Then this club is for you. We will meet April 23rd, 5:30 p.m. at the Scott County Extension Office. Homeschool Club The Homeschool Club will meet on Monday, April 6th, 2:30 p.m. at the SCEO. New members are welcome!
