About ScriptFest
ScriptFest was created by writers, for writers. Founded in 2003, ScriptFest
(formerly The Great American PitchFest) started as an intimate gathering of
approximately 200 film industry professionals.
Today, it is one of the longest-running and most successful conferences and pitch
events of its kind. With thousands of writers, agents, production companies
and industry speakers in attendance the event sells out routinely every year.
ScriptFest is a one-day conference featuring workshops, panel discussions,
round tables and social activities. Some of the most respected names in the
business lead classes on writing, filmmaking, and film financing. Participants
also gain career advice such as finding an agent or manager, industry trends,
and what production companies are looking to develop. Whether delegates just
penned their first script, or are veteran award-winning screenwriters, ScriptFest
is committed to advancing the craft and business of screenwriting.
Our Kick Off Party, Black & White Party, Whiskey & Wine Tasting Social and
Executive Luncheon events offer writers invaluable face time with some of
the most influential people in the film industry. Many delegates create lasting
relationships that go well beyond the conference walls. If writers are looking

ScriptFest Presents:
The Great American PitchFest
This is a one-day pitching event that puts screenwriters in front of some of the
top production companies in the world.
More than 6,800 meetings take place, each lasting only five minutes. Decision
makers are able to hear a large number of pitches in a short period of time.
Screenwriters have the rare opportunity to make hundreds of valuable industry
contacts, all in one day. Approximately 500 writers present their pitches to
more than 100 agents, managers, and production companies. Script magazine
calls the Great American PitchFest “the #1 pitch event” in the world.
This year marks the twelfth annual event which will take place in sunny Burbank,
California, May 29 - 31, 2015. It is the most anticipated event of the year for
screenwriters, with writers traveling from every continent to participate.
