Dear Friends, We thank everyone who supported our breakfast and golf events last year and for the contributions of our generous corporate and individual sponsors. Without your help we would not have been successful in providing support for children, teachers, and projects in the Syracuse City School District. Because of your generosity the Educational Foundation has provided more than $700,000 in supplemental education grants to schools. We are happy to begin our 12th year of providing funds to support schools and teachers and the need has never been greater. The mission of the SCSD Educational Foundation continues to be vital in supporting the quality of life and education of the 20,000 children in our Syracuse City Schools. Every dollar from our Annual Breakfast and Golf Tournament goes back to the schools in the form of supplemental educational grants. These grants provide resources that otherwise would not be possible or available. We have been blessed with incredible generosity this past year and we are so grateful for the contributions businesses and individuals have provided to help us educate the children of the City of Syracuse. This school year the Foundation has been able to use these funds to provide $52,000 in grants to support 16 diverse projects in schools. On Saturday morning, March 28, 2015, we will be hosting our 12th Annual Recognition Breakfast at the OnCenter. This year we will again will be recognizing individuals, organizations and businesses of distinction and acknowledging the contributions they have made to Syracuse City Schools. In addition, we again will be presenting SCSD Educator of the Year Awards, and guests will be able to visit with this year's Foundation grant recipients in our exhibit area prior to the breakfast. We know that you believe that the success of the Syracuse City School District is fundamental to the health and vitality of our greater community. Your contribution and support will be most appreciated and is so important for the future and success of our school children!
