Dane Buy Local Membership & Administration Coordinator Non-Exempt May, 2015 Responsibilities · Work with the Staff and Management, along with the Membership Committee to design and implement strategies for developing membership · Develop new membership recruitment · Respond to leads from members via emails, telephone and in-person inquiries · Process new Application forms and renewals · Track gift card referrals · Refer media contacts, provide background for public relations · Produce and distribute “Dane Buy Local Buzz” bi-monthly e-newsletter · Support breakfast meetings, evening socials, training and other events as needed · Produce invoices, accounts payable and receivable with experience in Quick Books · Talk with prospective members at Dane Buy Local & other events · Network at monthly events · Develop an annual Membership Schedule · Work with a volunteer to produce Dane Buy Local’s Annual Report · Responsible for producing the annual Membership Survey · Oversee the Give-Back to the Community Initiative · Submit regular reports to the Executive Director (ED) on your activities · Work with ED to develop an annual budget and strategic plan for Membership · Develop and work with a group of volunteers to support efforts for the organization · Conduct business in a manner that is conducive to the organization's mission · Represent DBL in a professional manner at all times · Perform other duties as assigned by the ED Qualifications · · · Strong writing, networking and communication skills Work well independently and in teams Adhere to all company departmental policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other documents · · · · · · · · · · Responsibility to exchange accurate information in situations with members, the public, employees and the ED about issues as they arise Strong analytical skills Knowledge to operate a computer, programs (including Word, Excel and Quick Books) and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, telephone, copy machine, and printer Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, transport materials and supplies to events, etc. Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions Prepare for, attend and participate positively, in all meetings Provide correct and timely follow-through on internal projects and memos Maintain a level of skill for various technologies around the office Basic working knowledge of Madison and surrounding areas Must have reliable transportation Accountability The Membership & Administration Coordinator is accountable to the Executive Director who will evaluate job performance in conjunction with the Board of Directors at least annually. Satisfactory performance may result in monetary incentives determined by the Executive Director. Performance that is unsatisfactory may result in probation or termination.
