SOLIVEN OIC, Office of the Schools Division Superintendent Date: May 15, 2015 Subject: CONSULTATION MEETING WITH SCHOOL HEADS ON THEIR SCHOOL ASSIGNMENTS AND LOADS 1. Looking forward to a more efficient and productive school leadership, the following were highlighted in the meeting last May 14, 2015 at the SDO Conference Hall. a. School heads (principals and elementary head teachers) can undergo reclassification if they meet the requirements contained in DepEd Order 97, s. 2011 (Revised Guidelines on the Allocation and Reclassification of School Heads). Whether a school head is in secondary or elementary, a PIII can be reclassified to PIV. b. For future reference, each District must define its cluster of schools considering the (a) distance between and among schools and (b) total number of regular teachers so that A school or a cluster of schools with at least 9 regular teachers has to be led by a Principal at least 6 regular teachers has to be led by a head teacher Note: Let us uphold this in our decisions regarding school assignments of school heads. c. In extreme situations where A Teacher-In-Charge is needed, the TIC must be a Principal passer. He/She is a full-time teacher in the school where he/she is a TIC. TIC is revocable/renewable. d. Avoid using the term “District Statistician”. Mrs. Evelyn Ramos, CID Chief is tasked to study how Districts can be helped on data and records handling. e. Avoid using the term “Anchor Supervisors”. Education Program Supervisors provide technical assistance to all schools, do monitoring and evaluation of their programs, activities and projects in all schools in the Division. f. Public Schools District Supervisors work with Districts-In-Charge using coordination, collaboration, communication and interaction skills. No superior-subordinate relationship. g. For transition management Conduct a consultation meeting with school heads Distribute copies of the DepEd Order 97, s. 2011 Focus on the provisions of reclassification for high performing school heads Highlight opportunities and that we care for the upward mobility of their careers consider the willingness of incumbent school heads to lead a cluster of schools assure those interested for reclassification that assistance will be provided to them in terms of packaging their documents according to the criteria TAYO PARA SA EDUKASYONG K TO 12 2. After the consultation process, every District Head is enjoined to submit a carefully discerned assignments and loads of school heads for SY 2015-2016 to facilitate the preparation of Designation Orders. Consider a table format with the following: Name of School Head Age of the School Head Position of the School Head per Plantilla (Principal#, EHT1, EHT3) Years in the Position If TIC last SY 2014-2015, years as TIC School/s Handled last SY 2014-2015 Years in the School/s # of Regular Teachers in the School/s School/s to Handle for SY 2015-2016 Year/s in the School/s # of Regular Teachers in the School/s Signature of the school head (principal, head teacher, TIC) 3.
